, but a shift from the usual in terms of music was something for the run thus far. Plus, there were actually scenes with more fluid animation than the usual...and for a fight no less! It pulled off this
scene better than in Phantom Blood's portion as well.

I realized it a month ago when I was going over the OP. Sometimes I wish those things weren't an abbreviated plot or at the very least misdirection!
Yup, just shock at the number actually being present, I'd say. People likely put in similar numbers to their hobbies but just don't have a time invested counter to make them feel bad.

What an amazing episode, yet again, they seem to top themselves when it comes to drama and storytelling, not to mention the soundtrack and that visual fidelity. This episode was more heartwarming and moving since we got to see a bit of relationship between Chihaya and her family not to mention the sister of hers. It had some great comedic situations an Dat funny 4th wall segment
I was really laughing out loud when that happened. The expressions was perfect as well. Also, Rivals doesn't count!

When this episode began with
a flashback explanation of Caesar's family history, I said "death flag" to myself out loud.

Even though it was a Reika episode, and those so far haven't been amazingly interesting, this one was pretty great with all that Joker mindtrips going on. Not to mention, she got some archery action so episode was amazing!

Okay, I've watched this episode twice now, because there is quite a bit of important information revealed, and a lot of details so important that Ikuhara thought it was necessary to put fingers pointing to these details he wanted the audience to see (though he does troll the viewer a fair amount with it). So this post will really be what I've gathered from this episode.
There probably some other details I caught that I didn't think to mention, and others that I missed. When I do a rewatch of this series down the line, this will probably an episode to pay special attention to.
Okay, I've watched this episode twice now, because there is quite a bit of important information revealed, and a lot of details so important that Ikuhara thought it was necessary to put fingers pointing to these details he wanted the audience to see (though he does troll the viewer a fair amount with it). So this post will really be what I've gathered from this episode.
So this genius Mikage kid is actually Professor Nemuro from the Nemuro Memorial Hall, whose team (and, allegedly, himself) was killed when the building his project was being worked on in caught fire. He fell in love with the chief investigator the school sent, Tokiko. Tokiko has a brother named Mamiya, whose similarities to Himemiya are unmistakeable. Mamiya is sick and Tokiko hopes that the project that Nemuro and his team are working on, a project to "attain eternity", where have we heard THAT before, can make Mamiya better. But Mamiya hints to Nemuro that he does not want to be made "eternal".
Then as Nemuro is trying to solve an equation, Akio walks in and offers him the Rose Seal ring, the same that he gave all of his team. Evidently a Rose Seal, in this flashback at least, represents a contract made with Akio. He tells Nemuro that his only choice is to "revolutionize the world". Again, sound familiar? Nemuro is reluctant at first, because solving the projec won't make Tokiko happy, but after he sees her and Akio making out, he agrees to the terms of the deal, which involves Mamiya burning down the building (or Nemuro burning it down and Mamiya taking the heat), killing Nemuro's whole team.
So, here's what I can gather:

Although in the case of troll recommendations, I normally get the feeling that those who're being subjected to them exaggerate their reactions to what's going on more than a smidgen.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Episode 20
I suspect this is the reason that the last few episodes have had even less animation than usual. This may be the most animated that JoJo has ever been. And it's glorious. Absolutely superb episode. The execution in this show has almost never failed to deliver in full, and they pulled off

I must have been the only one on the planet actually surprised by how things went down. Somehow the opening didn't clue me in, and I've never skipped it.

Come on, JoJo wearing his bandana and screaming, it was obvious though I admit that wasn't enough to get how it would have happened. But death flags were all over the place throughout the last 2 episodes.

I always enjoyed Utena impressions far more than School Days impressions.
They bear the joy of sharing a fantastic show and as Utena also contains a lot of strong/surprising moments/relevations the reactions mirror this.
School Days reactions rely on a cheap shock factor in the show akin to Bleach-filler-level-camera work.
A most feudal initiation rite.
Guess what I am saying is

The OVA is called Tip Off and the story is about Kise joining the Teikou Middle School Basketball team. It was great to see the chemistry between all the Generation of Miracles and we have voices for Akashi and Murasakibara.
Can't wait for Season 2 and I think that will air Fall or Winter 2013 so it's going to be a wait because I think they will animate the whole Winter Cup.
