I always enjoyed Utena impressions far more than School Days impressions.
They bear the joy of sharing a fantastic show and as Utena also contains a lot of strong/surprising moments/relevations the reactions mirror this.
School Days reactions rely on a cheap shock factor in the show akin to Bleach-filler-level-camera work.
A most feudal initiation rite.
Young Animator Training Project 2010 - Kizuna Ichigeki
So, what we have here is:
- Action Sakuga
- Food Sakuga
- 2D Mecha Sakuga
This one really honours the project's name (Young Animator Training Project). Everything related to the animation pleased me greatly, but what actually surprised me was how good the music was. Dat slap bass funky groove... delightful.
So yeah, anyone who hasn't seen this one and has 25 minutes to spare should get into it.
An entire episode about how Candy is a useless little shit. Well, until the end when the power of shouting produces a new power for them all and stuff. So I guess she's not useless for 2 minutes.
And if FF rules are to go by, the new Blue Akanbes are like zombies in that healing kills them. ;P
That wasnt a very lavish episode :/ Roman is alright though its really just not doing anything special to make it feel anything beyond becing decent and average. Oh well, shocking reveal and conclusion.
Ultra Happy is a very rare condition. In many people they exhibit no symptoms outside of being especially energetic and optimistic. However when symptoms persist, the face can be come deformed and fish eyed. If not treated quickly, the below can result.
I found it hilarious, that Pinky and Chihuahua are pretty much fighting for the MC over the childhood friend slot, when the chances of the childhood friend has an extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemly small chance of success.
I may have to rewatch this again as well, cause, well, stuff kinda gets confusing.
So, if I understand this right, Nemuro's memories were all wrong, or the dude is genuinely insane. He keeps calling Utena "Tokiko". When he looks at her, he sees Tokiko. Does he really think she's Tokiko? It seems he does. And Mamiya and Himemiya are the same person (but then who did Tokiko return to visit?)? And nobody really died in the fire?
Yeah, I'm probably gonna have to watch this again. I really don't think I understand fully just how much is going on. Having to rewatch all of these episodes really is slowing down my viewing of this series.
I thought acheivements were supposed to make people happy... The worst part is that the Toei time should be at least tripled if you count Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, which I've watched just as much of as I have magical girl shows.
With all the mahou shoujo I have watched and to not have this achievement it make me wonder just how much I have to see. The thought is kind of frightening.
Yup, just shock at the number actually being present, I'd say. People likely put in similar numbers to their hobbies but just don't have a time invested counter to make them feel bad.
I've spent more hours than that watching NFL games over the past 4 years.

Consult your doctor immediately if you have symptoms of Ultra Happy. The only known cure is a two day treatment of Bad Luck.
I nearly was afflicted with this. Remember when I marathoned Saikano because I was too happy? Well there you go. I would be a bloated helium Cajun right now if not for that intervention.
While we are on the subject of Precure, Cure Blogger did a "What Precure should you start with?" quiz thing. I don't know how accurate it is, but people might as well try it: http://www.cureblogger.com/2013/02/20/what-is-your-starter-precure/
the fanart for this would get me banned
I made the decision to begin at the beginning and feel vastly rewarded by it. Its going to be tough to top Cure White/Honoka. I might skip to SPlash Star after Futari Wa Precure.

People really didn't like this episode nor this plot? It feels good to see them all working together against this common goal and to have backstory introducing us to how they all first met Kanda-kun. Still wanna know the real reason its being brought down.
Are we totally, completely, positively sure the kid's a fiend? For all we know he could just be a normal kid raised as a queerat, and therefore he doesn't have any death feedback-related problems with slaughtering humans but wouldn't be able to do the same with queerats.

I really do love the director who set the precedent for the face thing. Imagine being a little girl and seeing that on your TV... it'd freak you out or make you bust a gut laughing. lol

When I started watching this I thought it was going to be a cute anime about a girl trying to run her own business starting from failing at it to running a successful business.
I should have known better given this is a Miyazaki movie, what I got instead was a coming of age story about a character trying to at a very young age become independent and the personal challenges to that arise from that. Of course this being a Miyazaki movie I also got a not so subtle jab at the negatives of life in a city and how horrible humanity is. He did get his flight shtick out of his system pretty early on though, which is a bit of a duh given much of the movie is based around it.
I really liked the Jiji sub-plot with the cat and I found the ending to that really sweet.
The story is fairly simple, albeit suitably so, and the events seem to mostly serve character development which is handled very well in this film. The real highlight though is the animation which I found thoroughly satisfying throughout. It was really charming and especially with Jiji stealing the show in that regard. Backgrounds were also a joy to look at.Prettylewd too! And there was also :Chet which was surprising.
As for the music and voicework, again Jiji stole the show for me, very fitting to her character, Kiki's casting was very nice too. Music is Joe Hirashi so there isn't that much to discuss, it's great!
