Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One sales comparison through 47 months (#VGChartz estimates): XOne: 33.21M XSX|S: 30.14M

Money is money. When someone buys a game from Microsoft, what they care about is the $70. The graphic settings that player is seeing doesn't matter to them.
That's what Microsoft has found out, even though some people are less than enthused about it as it is brining along the beginning of the end for consoles. If you buy their game on Xbox or Windows, they don't much care. :(

Totally true. But it's also good to know the "experience" certain people are having. And there's a different experience when playing these games depending if you have a Series S or a Series X.

There is, but someone with a Switch OLED also has a different experience from someone playing a Switch Lite. That's not a good reason to exclude either model from a sales discussion.

Or the PS5 / PS5 Pro for that matter.

I wonder what the Series sales would be if 1) both consoles were readily avaliable from the get-go and 2) the Series S wasn't readily available on the shelves from 2021 onwards. Microsoft may have barely sold 20 million Series consoles to date. It's crazy to be trending lower than the One lineup after all those acquisitions 5-6 years ago.
