Yeah they aren't a great source but tbh their numbers I really don't think are far off. Xbox is doing worse every gen. It would be far worse if the Series S didn't exist too

A. It's VGC. Those estimates are sure to be wrong in both cases.
B. If one really wants to even pretend the situations are the same when we've had so much evidence suggesting how much trouble Xbox is in (including putting their games on their biggest competitor's platform), then that's the biggest example of wearing tinted glasses I've seen in a while.

Because last gen they were making more games for the Xbox One and trying to compete selling the hardware with price cuts and revisions. Also, they weren't pushing people to not buy an Xbox console because they could just get gamepass and play anywhere. They have done the most stupid things and it has directly ruined their console sales as well as game sales. Worst management they have ever had and yet they still allow them to remain in position to further ruin what's left.

My question to you is this.
Assuming that corrections are issued everytime actual numbers are gleaned, how far off do you think they actually could possibly be on big 3 hardware?
I get the criticism about game sales and week to week, but even Xbox flashed figures recently and iirc weren't they pretty close to VGChartz educated guesses anyway? It's not a complicated guess, it's pretty obvious as long as you correct along the way, big 3 hardware is pretty close imho. It would take high levels of ineptitude to be far off, is what I'm saying. It's gonna be close. It ain't news or anything, but I would be surprised if these numbers are ever far off from being about right on big 3 hardware.

People also shouldn't forget that PS5 suffered from massive supply constraints for 2 years and is priced higher today than at launch.
And Playstation Studios is gearing up their next wave of titles from their main studios.

Money is money. When someone buys a game from Microsoft, what they care about is the $70. The graphic settings that player is seeing doesn't matter to them.
