Indiana Jones and the Great Circle |OT| Fortune and Glory, kid. Fortune and Glory.

At this point I think the worst thing about this game is that it's eventually going to end.

Some more shots of mine:

Fucking lol.

Gizeh story near-end.

I was not expecting the buried in sand segment to turn into an actual game play scenario.

The pacing in the game is great.

After a big zone, you need a nice, linear, section with bombast. This is doing the thing that other games with big zones earlier in the year failed to, just one big zone after another makes it tiring.

This fixes it.

Thanks for sharing but this one made no impact for me. Maybe because I'm on the Gamepass version?

Here's hoping we get an official fix soon. I'm getting right around 60 fps at 4k DLSS performance with full RT but I'd like to see if FG can smooth that out for me.

I just bought the camera. It is quite overwhelming. What do I do? Should I focus on finding cats and bottles or just go?

What settings are you guys using with a 4080? Playing via gfn Trying to see what the best setting is. Game runs a lot better with everything maxed out but dropped res to 1440p.

Keep doing objectives, whenever something you can snap is in vicinity, the camera icon pops up on the top left, keep an eye for it. You don't have to specifically hunt for picture-able things.

wait wait wait .. fucking wait.

You can melee attack all those small boxes with pad locks to open them ..

hoooowwww the fuck did I just figure this out 20 hours in, lol

The lack of ability to interact with a lot of different things is my biggest let down in this game. If there is a small statue that I can pick up then I should be able to smash it into bits with a pipe, or even just smack it of its pedestal.

If the small statue is part of a sidequest or a collectible then i can understand why they did it this way.

It's pretty helpful lol, otherwise you have to keep bringing up the map over and over again.
I'm torn on whether I want a dot all the time or just with the map up. Immersion is so good in this game I don't want much of an interface overlay. But for clean-up of stuff at the end of a location, toggling it on is probably helpful, especially if it shows relic locations and stuff like that.

Whats in them? Cash? I noticed them all over the vatican and thought it odd they had these obvious things to secure stuff but left money and notes all out in the open :P

Your last pic... that cutscene was hilarious aswell

Any free offers for GPass out there? Shit is 69.99 on steam.

Or keys would do and I'm constantly seeing different sites and don't know who's trustworthy.

Yeah, I was watching something and saw someone knock one of the boxes open with a weapon and there's a wad of cash inside.

The 'cinematography' and direction of the cut-scenes is excellent, right out of the movies.

This looks and feels like a game made by a team which were diehard fans of the original 3 films.

Played a bunch more today. Other than the poor AI, which really doesn't bother me much at this point in my life, it's great fun. I'm hooked. The story has me really intrigued.

Honestly conflicted to not play this tonight for the game awards that always has those promises but fail to deliver... but If I miss...

edit - Oh shit it's tomorrow! Wrong day lol

Love how you can just explore freely with no handholding, but if you ever get lost you everything you need is in your notebook. Also how you can find books that mark locations of all collectibles categories including photo spots, sure has nothing to do with realism but its great QOL for OCD wall kissers like yours truly, perfect for revisiting earlier areas. I can easily see myself 100% this game

The game also has a very generous hint system for major puzzles, it does the old Lucas Arts Games thing where you can 'ask' the game for multiple hints with your camera, and after a few hints it just straight up tells you the answer to the puzzle.

All in all it's a really polished experience.

I'm not 100% the game this time. Waiting on PS5 version so I can do that and get platinum. But yeah, love how they do what you are talking about.

off topic: MS really needs to update their achievement system for folks like me.

Normally in a game of this size, one I like and play it slow, I'd get to the point where I'm at say, at 95% completion playing blind oganically, and then it's powerpyx cause I missed a scrap of paper in a toilet somewhere that is just impossible to notice. So there is no need for any external help if you want to platinum this game just smooth sailing, those books aren't exactly hidden, sometimes just cost some coin but you'll have more than you need if you... smash those locked boxes

Yeah I really appreciate that they have items in the game which show you all the map markers, don't have to rely on external websites or guides for that kind of thing.

I'll typically follow a guide when it comes to finding all the collectibles and such. Other times I'll consult a trophy guide when I'm not sure how to do what the trophy is asking for. Research is part of the fun of trophy hunting to me.

To what? Like the PS?

I much prefer the sound of that to be honest - different colours according to difficulty in obtainment?

MS achievement points are just so random. I love when they fire, but how they throw points out differs so much game to game.

Have you ever seen a 50 year old man cry? That would be me if they ever wipe my gamerscore. I don't know why, it's not as if I can ever use it to chat up a girl!

More so the Platinum trophy, but yeah, the tiers are cool as well. Of course, no reason why they couldn't keep gamerscore. Getting that Platinum though is just a nice additional bonus at the end for having done the work to 100% the game. I know a lot of Xbox fans have been asking for something like that. Microsoft acknowledged it a couple of years ago but still hasn't done anything.

I somehow completely missed this but looks like over the last couple of days, Humble accidentally put the game up for $0.00 and now they're revoking the keys for anyone who redeemed it.

6 hours in and the game is great.
A bit weird, old style controls and manual functions but I like it. Feels like a genuine old style game with modern budget.
Runs great. Looks good. Voice acting and characters are very fun. It does feel surprisingly adventurous.
A bit much of running around doing errands. Would like more of the main adventure. It's like uncharted 4 but now you are running around and taking cat pics for 40 minutes.

But I am surprised I like it so much.
One thing, HDR is kinda just ok. I set it to 4000 nits as usual because I play with DTM but it's so so.
Great game so far. If it was on ps5 released day1, I would've bought it there just the same

I have a feeling this will go down as a genuine classic on GAF, when the PS5 only crowd gets their hands on it, it'll be a second round of appreciation.

This has quickly become my personal GoTY.

I don't think I've played a game where the main character eats as much as this motherfucker. Anything that isn't nailed down gets hoovered up into Indy's mouth.

Stopped before the last ghiza mission. I was right and Vatican was the biggest part of the game. 1 more HUB after this and it ends :(
