The trailer with the road going on forever has me wondering if this is going to be a non standard Mario kart. Give me open world mushroom kingdom racing a la Forza Horizon and I'll buy this shit day one.
 
Expected as much, Nintendo games will not particulary looks that much different. They already nail visuals with art direction and good presentation (except Pokemon which is absolute garbage, but thats on the clowns from GF).
I'm still guessing this will more of a machine focused on a greater experience for 3rd party titles. That way people would jump in ignoring the rest of market.

A 3D DK could be great and it would be nice to have the spotlight on DK instead of 3D Mario.
 
Graphically doesn't really look much improved from MK8. They changed the Mario and DK model to more closely match the movies. Not sure if this is an enhanced version of MK8 keeping all the tracks with some new tracks and gameplay changes (there's more than 12 racers in this video) or an entirely new title.

Either way it looks like it's built on-top of MK8 rather than from the ground up to me.

That road asset is from MK8 which if anyone has done MK modding will recognise.

Wonder if its going to be a cross-gen title. It looks good, but not so demanding it's nothing reduced LODs, texture resolution and draw distance can't fix.

Obviously this is Switch 2 only. They need a reason for people to buy a S2. Cross gen would be dumb as F.

Yeah kinda. Even the Switch reveal trailer was way more exciting. I'd have hoped they'd tease more than just this, and not just first party stuff either.

this is what I am thinking, even if Switch2 is just a PS4 even docked, it should look much better than this but this looks like something a Switch 1 could run without problem
 
Looks like the previous one :messenger_downcast_sweat: about PS3 level graphics...they're probably making an update/add on of the previous game to have something to launch with.
