Sold my 4090 and will buy a 5090 when Witcher 4 releases. I usually have fomo around stuff like this but at these prices I'm good.

Do you have the source?

I paid good money for this Dynex!
And this will still require DLSS+++++ FrameGenerationx4 and whatever other trickery Nvidia has in order to run that ape game higher than 60 FPS with full ray tracing.

And that's the rub: I'll pay these sorts of asinine numbers, but not if I'm relying on software crutches instead of actual raw power. These cards are more marketing than tech at this point.

I kinda miss the Titan days. FE only, straight from nvidia, simple ordering.

And I already sold my 3090, so I need a replacement. Or even a stop-gap.

What are you using now? Witcher 4 is going to be pretty far off
Wife bought me a PS5 Pro and we had a bunch of 1st party games I wanted to play so I'm taking advantage of that with our big living room setup. I had a 4090 but I rarely used it so figured might as well get the money for it before the new series launched.

Those prices makes me want to see if I can get a founders edition, I did on 4090, 3090ti and 3090. I don't think I even want a 5090 but it will be amazing just to see if I can!

Looks like Nvidia nixed the AIB price caps and mandates requiring they offer at least 1 "MSRP" model (which was why EVGA voluntarily suicided themselves). Which means they ain't even pretending this is a real product launch, it's the wettest paper mache' launch of all time. No pretense of volume or availability whatsover, Nvida has given them carte blanche to prescalp the scalpers. Anyone who buys this shit is genuinely retarded.

You don’t buy a PC because you want to save money. Most PC players will also own a PS5 Pro, maybe even a Switch 2.

I think nobody cares at this point. You ain't eyeing a Blackwell but then just make a 180 and scrap the whole PC idea to just go console exclusive.
I don't think you understand what he's saying, it's not about pc vs console, but the fact that for that specific asus card the price difference is 700 dollars from msrp, but there most probably isn't 700 dollars of added value.
