SSX 3 Native on PC with online multiplayer and mod support.
Just let me dream.
The ps2 harry potter games would be pretty great too, they don't emulate very well.
the recompilation project is only for Crash Twinsanity it seems. Whether or not it'll get adapted to other games remains to be seen, but it's not some big full scale project like people make it out to be.
I'm a little surprised there isn't a major project yet to follow on N64's recompilation tool. There are projects out there for single- title decompilation, and probably a few PS1 Recompilation tools are being monkeyed with, but we don't have it yet.
I think the best results of this method will be PS1/N64, PS2, and X360. PS1 and N64 are both so rudimentary that they could be great candidates for enhancement once a port of a game is done (although the assets are so raw that it might be tough to replace them and have coherent results, ) then PS2 has so much asset quality and cool tech experimentation that they just need better hardware to unleash upon (a PS2Pro back in the day might have been really cool hardware. ) And 360/PS3 are so modern and high-quality that they just need more oomph than their original hardware could provide; they barely need any rework in the port to be great, although advanced graphics techniques could be applied to these games and they'd take to a boost well without taking apart.
Looking forward to what comes of these projects...
