I feel like calling it "drama" is a bit excessive, no? For me it depends on the reviews/overall reception honestly. I mean, it's on Game Pass, so I'll check it out if it's worth checking out.

Skill Up made it sound like he had a good time with it at a preview event recently, so, it doesn't sound like a huge dud if anything. Honestly I always thought it looked mediocre and lacking in the footage they've shown, so I was never looking forward to it or anything.

Skill up made sound Dragon Age Veilguard good too and look what happened. First impressions are not reliable and that works too with videogames

Better question to ask is “would you pay for Avowed”. A lot of folks with “Yes” got GamePass so it doesn’t take much to download and try it out.

Edit: Or rent from GameFly if that’s still around, as a rental is a cheap way to try the game. I think Topher Topher does that as an example.

Edit 2: Personally I am not planning to play it at least in the near future as it looks pretty mid and I very much disliked Outer Worlds. But if I sub for GamePass month to try something else, might give it a shot as well.

I mean in his early impressions he sounded a bit more hopeful about it, but it never sounded like he was talking it up. When the review hit he absolutely did not enjoy it at all, haha.

But there are people out there that enjoyed it, and there's nothing wrong with that. I tend to draw my own conclusions when looking at videos anyway, it's always been that way for me as I don't allow a reviewer/content creator make my decision for me. Skill Up just happens to be one that I find myself agreeing with more than anyone else.

But hey, if the gameplay looks fun, and it's on Game Pass. Why not? Is how I'm looking at it.

No, unless game play videos change my mind after it's released, right now i won't and it's not because of the new controversy, which hasn't helped!, apart from the very 1st trailer years ago i haven't seen anything so far that has made me want to buy and play the game

The issue on pronoun selection is not petty. Letting it slide is a testament of fealty to the woke mind virus, a statement of acceptance of the non-binary ideology and rejection of biological reality.

Don’t give the woke idiots an inch.

If they have deliberately been discriminating against white people based due to their race then no I wouldn't buy anything from that company. But what people write on twitter isn't always what they've actually done in reality.

Fair enough papito. For me is very simple, if someone calls me psycho for not having the same ideologies they have, then I am out and I wont support they/them with my money

If this whole situation continues to escalate further, with more of the dev team throwing tantrums and immature insults at others, who criticise their far left inspired game design decisions, then consider me uninterested in the game moving forward, my cursor is already hovering over that cancel pre-order option and I'm looking for one more reason to smash it.

I want to give it a go, but they've not really helped themselves. I'll prob wait for some reviews etc and if the consensus is shit then i'll just wait for Wayward Realms instead.

Yes. I played Veilguard despite all the shit surrounding that game. I think actually playing a game is the only way to speak intelligently about it. As I have said many times, I can overlook a lot of this kind of thing if the game is good.
I can overlook a lot of stuff in a game but when a dev proves they are bat shit crazy and talks like this openly makes it an easy pass for me, I try not to support crazy

I think I just lost interest when they started talking about what would actually be included. I think what I wanted was anouther skyrim, its not that which is fine but it also means I'm not really interested.

The Woke stuff is just something orbiting around it now would just mean now I would double check it's content before I bought it on a deep discount in future. Too many bad to middling games have used that as a shield to defend against any negative issues a game has.

That's totally fair boo boo. Personally it doesn't bother me, if the game is fun and looks interesting (especially without dropping $60) I'll check it out. If not, I'll avoid it.

No way. I was really interested....but I wont support a game which is done by such lunatics who want to replace white people with black ones. This guy needs mental help...seriously.
