Yes AI is bad in videogames. In literally all games with a few exceptions.

Also the person who made that made the same video for SW Outlaws.

🤷🏼‍♂️
this game's AI is much improved over odyssey valhalla
much better detection, enemies are more aware towards their environment etc.

this is how it is at least on expert stealth difficulty

stealth is quite fun. 100x more fun than valhalla. this comes from someone who completed all additional extra super difficult and weird stealth challenges valhalla has to offer

Absolutely, Im also playing on expert stealth.

Its so much more fun if they can spot you on rooftops etc. I was watching Nextlander play some and ofcourse they were in normal, it looked so stupid and easy.

But yes the npc ai is better than in previous games. Ofcourse if you're gonna make a funny vid you better do everything you can to glitch the ai out 😂🤦🏼‍♂️

another thing I like about this game is how much NPC collision and ragdoll has improved over previous games. I mean they're great on their own, compared to average AAA games! big improvements

the way enemies stumble backwards, bump into a wall and they have to fix their stance back again. it is all great

also the way blood splashes over walls and environment. sure last of us art 2 did all these great but this is an open world game! insane!

these cats are too much

I CAN'T PLAY THE DAMN GAME

Yes there is a way to compare weapons, I don't remember the exact button but, I think it might be R3. I believe there is some prompt somewhere showing you how to do it in the sellers menu

Luipadre Luipadre

"The disappearing dlss fg is a bug with steam input, turn steam input off and dlss etc will reappear another option that people say works is to disable you gamepad until in game then plug it in or turn it on and dlss will appear"

the bug is related to the controller, turn it off before launching the game, then turn it on in the main menu, dlss will be there

Thanks i saw this yesterday. Hopefully its true. That shit is annoying :D

Can't imagine playing without it, honestly.

The notion that a successful assassination depends on gear score and passive skill buffs is ridiculous. A knife in the throat should be lethal, period.
I forgot about this feature. Yeah gonna stick it on. Does it effect achievements?

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Also turn on guaranteed assassination from the gameplay > difficulty tuning menu.

It makes the game a lot more fun, feels more like oldschool AC, you wont spend skill points on removing extra health chunks either.

Yep, one of the first things I did.

Does it make stealth easier? Yes. But I don't expect many people to survive a shank to the back of the neck irl either.

Stealth is soooo good, i love the addition of crawling, it gives a new dimension to infiltration. I was actually sneaking inside a castle in the dark, went prone and noticed that someone was coming, I quickly threw a kunai to a light candle and the whole room went dark at the same time that the enemy was coming towards me. As soon as I did this he could no see me anymore and I was able to leave unnoticed. This is something I haven't experience in videogame since Splinter Cell. I Love it

24 hours in. No Yasuke. Did the one main kill mission with the tea ceremony which was cool and now a side quest has led me to that province up north (Yamashiro) so now Im just going to knock everything out up here 🤣

These games (when done right) tap into my OCD/completionist so fucking hard. There’s just enough to do. Nothing seems bloated so far. Every side activity I’ve done has been worth it in some way whether it be xp or equipment or getting a hard on from the visuals.

CALICO KITTEN GET! 😍😍

Yup! I have it on too. The hell do you mean a knife in the throat only takes off a bar 😂

I am only 8 hours in but starting over. I was playing canon but decided to restart to play non canon.

Also, this game is giving me motion sickness more than any other game including previous AC games and most VR games. Thankfully I have ginger chews but weird. I have been playing PS5 Pro/balanced with motion blur and chromatic aberration off. I am also playing on a TV that supports VRR. I might try changing to quality and/or performance to see if that helps.

I tested it. Launched the game like 5 times and it was always there
Cheers for that mate. Appreciate it!

canon off, immersive on is the way to go. Also there's a setting for motion sickness. Although I don't face any, I still turn it on because I hate camera shake and all that rubbish. Make sure to have it on

Just walked through the whole town captured by bandits like it was nothing. Feels good, man💪:messenger_open_mouth:

Also finally unlocked lvl 2 skills and there's some good stuff there, it'll take a while to unlock all skills though, so I'll start with the ones I'll get the most out of and will feel impact immediately:messenger_relieved:
Do the orange objectives on he map. That’s how you level up your knowledge to unlock more skills.

Not sure I like the new quests design. Its either here or here or here

I mean its alright with scouts and pushing exploration but for quest design not sure about it yet

For me the game improved vastly in that regard when I changed to guided exploration, no more confusion, it makes things more straightforward
I don’t mind exploring cause I’ll be doing that anyways. But when it comes to main quest just show me where it is. You don’t decide for me if I wanna explore or not

I know that, I'm just not rushing the game and playin' it slow on purpuse:messenger_relieved:
Like, I'm not some modern gaming journo or friendly neighborhood influencer who needs to rush through the game and its story to hit the embargo date(n):messenger_weary:

So after 20 hours my gripes so far:

- World is still too big.
You can cut that shit in half and it would make a way better paced game.
- Climbing is so clunky and unsatisfying.
- Yasuke is just there and terrible to play.
- The faces in Cutscenes look so rough.
- 30fps cap in the hideout.
- Story so far isnt interesting nor exciting so far
- Im not impressed with the graphics and hype around RTGi when we had RDR2 from 2018 that looks as good without resource hog tech
- Combat feels terrible and becomes annoying with this finishers on every god damn enemy..

Yeah i would be pissed if i had payed 80 bucks for that.
Glad Ubi has their Ubi+ thing.

Finished act 1. That was some long ass cutscenes. Yasukes reintroduction was great and i love the music choice they went with this game. Also he is a fucking unit lol. A nice change of pace from Naoe. Really fun to play

When does the change happen? Iam like 15 hours in at level 14.

Haven't got this yet, but does this game look better than Wukong? The videos I see of this game look insane in the graphics department.
to me, it does look better. and I actually completed wukong a week ago
however I wasn't able to get path tracing to run smoothly in wukong. so I had to play with lumen. I tried path tracing in the initial area and while it looked fantastic it was still nowhere near what I'm seeing in ac shadows

Nah, Wukong is more graphically detailed, but i find this level of detail at this scale (with far more going on in the game, not just size) is more impressive than just graphics on the surface level, not the best graphics (its up near the top) but most impressive on a technical level as far as open world games are concerned for sure.

Yes and it runs better too.
ac shadows runs incredibly smooth
even ac valhalla had stutter here and there... it was incredibly rare but even that stuttered one or two times in an hour
I almost feel like ac shadows never stuttered once so far in 10 hours which I find it hard to believe, considering the graphical leap it has over ac valhalla

black myth wukong however stutters quite a bit. more so with full ray tracing (which is why I had to disable it)
