While I find the idea of new pronouns silly, people have been using pronouns since what, the start of time. what the hell do you think Mr, Mrs, Sir, Mame, etc... are for? Even before recent pronouns used people still got insulted with you get it wrong!

The funny part is you could take pretty much any developer and make a photo like this but people act like these women and these women alone are making the game
“Pronouns” is shorthand for “gender ideology pronoun declarations” in this context.
I think the crux of it is that Avowed is a single player game, right? So what purpose does having your pronouns in your character bio serve? It's not informing other players, it's just a virtue signal that your character looks one way but wants to be addressed in a different way. As a character creation flag to trigger dialogue (which IIRC how it works in BG3) that then isn't listed is one thing, but to highlight it like a linkin bio just doesn't feel like an organic part of a fantasy world.
True that, I wish he tweeted about 90% less.
The bit with Mr. and "Miss/Mrs." solved this in correspondence for hundreds of years. But as women stopped using honorifics predicated on their marital status (or had other titles instead like "Doctor") then the role of Mr./Ms. kinda fell to the wayside and here we are. IIRC the he/him she/her stuff was because folks with foreign, unusual, or gendered names needed a way to let folks know how to refer to them in emails as that technology took over. It came around about the same time as he/she or "they" in reference manuals and whatnot so the default assumption was that everyone was a guy.

The more tags something receives, the more it will apply itself, and the more they appear in searches. I can't speak on behalf of every studio, but in my experiences we added tags to help the game be found better, fluff the SEO, etc. After launch, players can add them as well.Just checked:

So I don't really use any communities on Steam. I just shop for games, buy them, and play em. That's it. I just looked up Avowed and those are the tags I'm currently seeing.
I think regardless of whether or not these are official or user upvoted tags, it's kind of a bad look. If I didn't know much about this game and I saw those tags while shopping around, I'd probably avoid it.

I'm not sure the developer can do anything about it though if it is user applied, unless they tell Valve that this is a campaign against them, but again, I don't think that's much that Valve would accommodate.
So the army can go and put LGBT and politics on any games they "focus" on.
