Based off being afk to gain an advantage, and it having an impact on other peoples gameplay.

It's your choice. But you're going to get banned If you abuse it.

This is an issue that WoW has been dealing with since the LFR thing came out. Its never gong away and the lazy will always argue that they deserve it and the company won't do shit because they want players.

So how do factions work? You join one and then your crucible fights help you level them up? Is that right?

You can join a faction once you hit level 20 by buying their aesthetic-based gear (IE: cloak for Hunters, bonds for Warlocks, etc.) at which point doing any PvE or PvP activity will give you reputation towards that faction as long as you have that faction-specific gear equipped.

Again I'm not saying I will do it, I'm saying that as of right now there's little reason not to do it. Make the system better so people don't do it, banning people based off this is silly.

Did Rockstar ban people who found that one mission in GTAO gave way more money than others for the amount of effort and people were abusing it to get rich? No. They simply lowered the cash amount that mission gave asap. I also remember them giving early players free cash after the fuck-up with characters being deleted.

If Bungie wants competition to get better, then fix the loot system somehow so people who are AFK don't get any. Make it where if they have 0 kills that it checks if you actually put in any effort against an enemy, even a couple of bullets to check if you did anything. Or something more complex.

Just curious, has anyone else worked out that you can use the emotes whilst in crouch and it doesn't cancel out the crouching benefits? I was busting some moves in the defend point as someone approached when I suddenly vanished! (bladedancers invisibility skill) I think the guy was confused because he walked right up to me and got stabbed in the face.

So let me get this straight.

It's better to suck at Crucible, rather than dominate or come in top 3?

I noticed everytime I'm top 3. I get nothing.. Just had a game of 21 kills, and the guy at the bottom got to light armors :(

Anyone try to "farm" at the end of the Vex mission on Mars. At the end you get those two spawning gates that just never stop spawning until you destroy them. Lol. I killed like 150 Vex soldiers before I realized you had to destroy the gates.
Are you on the ps4? Add me. KeanBurkeo

Wait. You can turn materials into vanguard points? How?

You can talk to the Vanguard vendor and turn in 50-60 resources (spinmetal, strange blossom, etc) for some reputation points. But it's not worth it, since the reputation gain is tiny and you need a ton of those materials to upgrade your legendary and exotic weapons/armors.

For those wondering about a weak point on Minotaurs, shoot their heads off then shoot the area where their heads were.

Weak point, massive damage, etc

That's great and all except for the part where they have massive shield strength lol.

Best strategy I've found is to shoot at them while backpedalling. You usually create more distance than they can blink for.

No it's completely random.

yes but how is it an advantage?

It's not better to suck or be afk. You gain an 'advantage' in the sense of putting no effort to reap the same rewards. As in you can start the game, hide, and still gain loot drop. It's bullshit. You basically don't have to play and still can get rewards.

This reminds me of a trick in Bravely Default where you could fight an enemy, keep him alive, and get all this gold from it while you left the game to play itself sped up and you did something else.

Finished my exotic weapon bounty! Had to do 5 strikes without dying, then get a bunch of pvp kill streaks then complete a weekly heroic run (soloed lvl 22 like a boss lol). Once all that was done I had to buy 50 yes 50 special ammo consumables. Exotic shotgun now on deck, fully automatic it says, haven't used it yet.

Bout to hop on in a few to finish some bounties. If you see me on or just want to run some stuff, either send invite or if you haven't added me, send that friend request to GhostFaceDon.

Basically, the type and rarity of loot in Crucible is not based on how well you do. The worst ranked player can still nab a rare/legendary/exotic purely through RNG.

I actually don't think it's as broken as most people think; you have to throw a bone to people who aren't as skilled (one of my buddies included). Being AFK can be easily solved as I'm sure Bungie can discriminate between people just idling versus actually playing.

Bungie has always punished AFKers, they did it in halo 3, and reach and they don't mess around. They will reset their ranks guaranteed.

I hope so then. I hope they also punish people who leave matches regularly. I've rage quit once or twice before. It's great in games like team deathmatch when your teammates leave because theoretically you can get more kills than they can, but in control it sucks so much.

In the alpha and beta I spent most of my time in the crucible. When I got the game I've been spending most of my time in the pve. Going back to the crucible it seems like the graphics there are better than the pve. Is anyone else seeing this or is just me?

Wait, so your chances of getting good loot in the crucible doesn't change if you perform the highest/lowest? That doesn't make any sense to me. The incentive of doing well in crucible should be a higher chance for better loot to drop.

After all the fan feedback, if they want people buying those expansion packs, they pretty much have to. The voices are too loud and frequent to quell them out.

Pretty much.

I think it was a mistake to take the route they did. But Fan feedback and loud voices will make them change that.

I hope Bungie does listen. Before release though they seemed adamant on not wanting voice chat.

Although....there are no other things they did so we could communicate with strangers. I dunno how hard it is to make a toggle for chat 'Player communication On/off'....but....meh. Will they change their minds? Hopefully.

Here's another blurb about voice chat, again, they say they want to foster 'positive communication' between strangers but...there is none? It's just...an odd choice. Even League of Legends has all chat turned off automatically until you enable it.

I remember in Halo 3 they had a system that punished people for leaving by knocking them down a rank. I could see them doing something similar in Destiny like knocking you back a level or two or restricting you from earning loot for a game or two after.

I'm replaying the story with a second character and damn, the plot really is disappointing.

Edit : Also, Titans are SO SLOW in the beginning. Can't wait to unlock some agility upgrades, lol.

I remember that, but it didn't really do much from what I recall. I think in Halo 2 or 3 some people were deleveling so they could play against easier people. Might've been COD though, I haven't played those in a while.

In my last match, top 2 got nothing, number 4 got a legendary engram and a mote of light

Stuck on level 24. What do?

Also fuck this game's design. The fact that I get a legendary engram and it turns out to be a shitty rare item or something not for my class. Meh.
