WOOT WOOt!

Just hit level 2 rep with vanguard and was able to buy a chest piece. I'm now halfway to level 26. The hard part is going to be getting the materials to upgrade that and finish upgrading my boots. Now I think that's the way to call it a night. Damn work tomorrow. lol

So how do factions work? You join one and then your crucible fights help you level them up? Is that right?

Also I'm at around 10 hours.

Yeah. The points that would usually go toward leveling up the crucible rank goes to them instead. You still earn the currency from the crucible I think, but that's the same currency they sell for anyway.

Consider what would happen if the best pvp players got the best loot. Its for the best that its distributed randomly.

There isn't really a worse feeling when you're running around in all blues though and you play your ass off to do really well in crucible, and some idiot who's been AFK half the time gets a free exotic. There needs to be some sort of fairness to it.

In PvE sure. In PvP no way. It creates a vicious cycle of the most skilled players then getting a gear advantage, which let's them win more, getting a bigger gear advantage etc. Think of the poor souls who start playing a couple months from now.

There are only level advantages in 'Iron Banner' and I'm terrified of how broken it's going to be later on. Aside from bounties and actually giving a shit, there isn't much reason to do better in PvP

You get their class item(cloak/sash/armband) and whenever you're wearing it, you get rep for the faction rather than for Vanguard/crucible.

Don't worry, Admiral Puppy, you have the cuteness factor working for you.

:D

For standard Crucible, the best PvP players getting loot isn't a big deal. For Iron Banner yes obviously.

It's just unfair to the best players atm.

they're actually starting to bother me a bit. wish they were a little more comfortable. they're great otherwise.
I've been using the Sony PS3 Wireless Headphones on my PS4 and love them to bits, so if the Golds are like them then I'll have no issues.

honestly I've seen so many people do it that I'm genuinely considering it now. With Bungie's method of "it's fair for everybody" it actually seems to fuck over people who are genuinely putting in the effort. At this point I'm considering giving this method a try while I do work around the house, because actual effort compared to theirs seems to be weighed negatively lol

Expect to get an eventual ban if you do.

Hey, could anyone here help me out with this heroic strike? Doesn't seem like the game will matchmake you anyone for it. (Why I don't know...)

PSN: audioandy

Any help would be appreciated!

Same thing happened to me. I was best on the team and he was the worst :(

My AR is rare atm -_-

Did the nightfall last night with Eman and Quint and got Suros Regime, even though I reckon Quint or Eman should have got it. I mean eman kept us alive by staying out of the danger and quint did far more at bringing down bosses then I did.

In a way I understand why they've done it but at the same time I reckon that the merit of work should net you something even if just a shader or upgrade item.

I'm around 18 hours. Hitting 21 with enough light armor I think is like my cruising altitude. I can take a more measured pace with the game at this level since drops are so random anyways and now your level is dependent on your gear. And with that stuff you could play for 8 hours or 8 minutes and end up with the same result.

Aside from 21-2x leveling I have:
Striker to finish
Defender to start
A Level 2 Hunter
A level 2 Warlock
The rest of the story missions from the first Mars on
All those attendant side missions

And this is before being Raid Ready AND whatever the Queen wants me to do sometime next week I'm assuming.

Gee I wish this game provided me some content.

;D

Playing all weekend non-stop. Strikes err' daay all day! I'm tired, oh so tired. I even resorted to farming via YouTube guides.

Not a single legendary drop. AT. ALL!

RNGesus why hast thou forsaken me?!?!?

That is unfortunate, but fairness has nothing to do with it. Your reward for winning (or doing well) Crucible matches is glory and feasting upon the tears of your enemies. The after match drops are completely separate.

Only the level is disabled in the Crucible. All the nice little abilities on your gear still play their part. And if you've seen some of the stuff on those exotics/legendaries, they definitely make an impact.

Look guys, I'm just telling you why it is. I didn't do this, don't jump down my throat. I wanna play some Destiny, not run back to the computer and type the explanation out over and over.

Based off what though? I'm not saying I will do it as usually I play with friends regardless, but if Bungie's system of loot is broken to the point somebody who put in no effort gets rewarded while somebody who puts in all the effort does, what's to stop somebody from doing it?

Strikes give you shit in loot drops, and when they do it has always been something worst than what I have.

Marks take forever to get unless you're willing to farm using cheap tactics.

PvP seems like the best step. Time and time again the carrot beats the stick. Why ban the people who aren't doing anything technically wrong with the current system? Why not make the system better so you have to actually put in effort to get loot?

Agreed, although I still love feasting on the tears of teammates who didn't get loot from the end of the game.

Tiemen, I'm looking at you ;-)

do you think they'll add match making for heroics/nightfall/raids?

After all the fan feedback, if they want people buying those expansion packs, they pretty much have to. The voices are too loud and frequent to quell them out.

If they do, then they need to allow randoms to voice chat with each other, otherwise there's no point.

Fix this shit, Bungie. Jesus H.

Pretty much.

I think it was a mistake to take the route they did. But Fan feedback and loud voices will make them change that.

Based off being afk to gain an advantage, and it having an impact on other peoples gameplay.

It's your choice. But you're going to get banned If you abuse it.

I changed my avatar to a non Persona one FINALLY after all this time, and im knee deep in this flawed but still very fun game.

Xbox One version yo

For those wondering about a weak point on Minotaurs, shoot their heads off then shoot the area where their heads were.

Weak point, massive damage, etc

Best place to farm glimmer?

If you're 20+, go to the "Shrine of Oryx" mission and bump the difficulty up to 20+, go through til you get past the respawn limiter and there should be a room with about 8 yellow Hive, kill them all for like 150 glimmer, jump off the cliff, kill them all, jump off the cliff.

Anyone try to "farm" at the end of the Vex mission on Mars. At the end you get those two spawning gates that just never stop spawning until you destroy them. Lol. I killed like 150 Vex soldiers before I realized you had to destroy the gates.
