This happened to me too while I was trying to run my dailies. Man what the fuck. It was slightly less annoying than an entire team of people using bladedancer. I also lost what I counted 8-9 games in a row across Control and TDM. And I think I'm going to lay off PvP dailies now because fuck the PvP. Holy shit it is a hot shit.
Earlier was playing with some friends, had a 3.5 K/D, and another had .31. He's the only one who got an item, was the lowest level in the lobby, and it was a legendary engram. I'm not saying he shouldn't have got it because he doesn't get shit often, but whatever decides who gets what how and when is completely broken.

Strikes, Venus mission grind (kill everything you see + there's an insane unlimited spawning spot where Vex and Fallen are fighting) and Cryptarch leveling (currently lvl7). 14 legendary engrams in 3 days. 1 Hunter legendary headpiece, but it happens to be that I'm a Warlock, so that was very useful as well.
Well, I got my first legendary today as I got Vanguard level 2.
I'm assuming the other type of Chest is the Gold Chest it lists on the Galaxy Map? How can you tell the difference. Apparently I've found a few Gold Chests but I didn't notice/couldn't tell the difference.
Also what comes out of them?

Yeah your actual in-game performance doesn't seem to matter... At all. Like, being at least in the top 3 or even doing objectives doesn't seem to influence anything at all. It's just a strange and silly drop system that it's actually infuriating because of how 'fair' Bungie is trying to make it seem
If you joined a faction, keep leveling them up. Factions are kinda the quick way to level up the character.

I've been finding Strange Coins like crazy. I bought the No Backup Plans exotic armor for my Titan yesterday for 13 coins, and I already have 10 again. A lot from blue engrams, some chests, PvP, and the 3 for the Level 26 weekly strike.
So I should be set to at least get another exotic piece of armor, or maybe even a weapon next weekend from Xur.

IIRC level 24 is an all lvl 20 rare set.
Next step would be to farm rep/marks for vendor legendaries, save motes/coins for exotic vendor gear.
Apparently the rollover for Xur is 2 weeks, but someone told me this in chat so I can't verify. You may go after the Red Death Pulse Rifle if you get 23 Coins by then.

You can only get the PS Exclusive armor and weapon from the Dust Palace strike?i got a legendary scout rifle for hitting vanguard rank 3.
His refresh timer late Saturday when I looked at it was like 5 days 18 hours or something. Assuming it's accurate he'll be refreshed next time he appears.
edit - sorry VJC I just logged in to check something, I'll probably be around to do some strikes in ~30m

Completely shuts down the pace of the game especially if they do 2 at once and the rest of the team crams in. Eventually someone runs in and gets punched in the face.

I think there's a way to shut down the shield in PvP; no clue why, but for some reason my shields sometimes just pop off after like 15 seconds.
