The amount of expectation Mother 3 has accumulated over the years will just lead to disappointment. It's a fun game, but it's decades old. It's not going to be the revelatory experience it's been built up to be. I'd like Nintendo to release it, just for completion sake, but I don't think it's ever going to see a western release.

I agree. I would absolutely love to see it brought over. It absolutely should be available worldwide. I wish they would just bite the bullet, put it out there, and say "here it is, maybe it is an old game we don't care what you think of it being good/bad or problematic/positive".

Agreed. People form their own little narrative about what will happen at a show, and are so disappointed when it inevitably doesn't, that they let really cool stuff like that speech pass them by. He did a great job.

Used to play a game in my family where we had a framed picture of Hitler and hid it in each other's houses trying to see how long it would take to be found. Got my in-laws in on it by hiding it in a big display cabinet full of framed family pictures. Promptly forgot about it. It was found about a year later when they put the house up for sale and a potential buyer was taking a tour.

We don't play that game anymore. But I would be pleasantly delighted to find a framed picture of Reggie in my house somewhere.
