Hello Nintendo GAF. Today I feel like talking about Sega for some reason. They were a bitter enemy and now the best games Sonic has appeared in in the past ten years (outside of notable fluke Sonic Mania) were two Smash Bros. games. What a time to be alive.

- Why has there not been a Mario/Sonic crossover platformer yet?

- Why has Skies of Arcadia been left to die on the GameCube?

- Who wants to come over and play Soul Calibur after work today my wife said I could order pizza?

- Do you know where I can find some sailors?

Answers to none of these questions and more today in nintendoland
The best Switch game will be a Sega game. But it will be made by Atlus. *who Sega owns*.

- Effort

- Arcadia deserved to die

- Sounds like a porn

- By the docks, not to be confused with the people that unload ships

not to be confused with VirginGaf

Evangelion Unit-01

Master Chief
Should've thought of that before you split your time between here and Xbox GAF.
You just wish that PS5 of yours had this many terrible flops...like Halo 5 and Bleeding Edge.

Atlus only makes games for weebs now excuse me while I work on improving my relationship score with Lysithea
Just wait until Persona 5 gets announced for Switch. Going to have some great conversations in this thread. -Arcadia- -Arcadia- will love it.

I wish P6 was centered around adults and actual dating. If not take out the "dating" in those games cause they are extremely weak shit and focus on the gameplay.

In fact just make SMT6 and release it 2 months after 5.

Morgana a shit.

I have Persona 5 installed on PS5 but have yet to play it. I tried to play on PS4 but i couldnt get past the first dungeon. I have been kinda waiting and hoping for the switch port. Should i just play it?

Do you have 60+ hours to burn? (I'm assuming you've played other games before so gameplay should be a breeze for you) You like going to bed? Adults....bad?

Then yes!

(the coolest moments in the game are 7 hours in/I still enjoyed it more than 4)

I mean I love lengthy JRPG's it's my favorite genre. I was just turned off because I felt the first dungeon really dragged.

It only drags if you are slow in the beginning. Since it is an intro dungeon they sorta hype it but you can beat it in 1-2 days (in game). THAT BEING SAID the game does drag the story plenty, more than previous games. You have been warned Snoybot.

I will be honest, I'm so deeply disappointed in Nintendo this year. So much so that my Switch was not on for nearly the entire year.

Animal Crossing was good I played that for a while, but I'm not really an AC fan and dropped it pretty quickly.

Paper Mario was a personal disappointed for me, I had so much faith they would go back to the Paper Mario roots but that wasn't really the case. It was a good game, but... it again wasn't a real PM for me.

Then that Mario collection. If you told me over a year ago Nintendo would deliver a 3D Mario collection with the best entries (aside from Galaxy2) I would have been hyped through the roof. But the end result is very underwhelming. I expected more than rom dumps, I expected to see them a new, modern light. As it is, it looks like a super easy cash grab for Nintendo rather than a project with some effort put into, and they even sell that for $50.. No thank you.

Lastly, Hyrule Warriors. I'm not a Musou game fan but I was interested seeing the backstory of BOTW. Well we all knew how that turned out.

Aside from the lack of games (not counting Indie games here as indie support is good, just have not much interest in most of them) there was nearly zero communication from Nintendo aside from the bare minimum. Fans begged for a big direct on every social media channel possible and Nintendo just kept being quiet and delivered underwhelming small stuff instead. That was just poor PR imo. That little communication that was there, was lackluster to say the least. A couple of Mini Directs with nearly nothing substantial in them. No major new(!) titles aside from Hyrule Warriors, a Pikmin 3 Port and a ROM dump, no new information about already big announced titles like Zelda, Metroid, Bayonetta, no information about a potentially better online service, virtual console and so on. For me it was super frustrating to be a NIntendo fan in 2020.

I can safely say, Nintendo in 2020 was not a topic for me. Sadly. How did NintendoGAF feel about this year?

I thought it was okay. There was supposed to be more this year but that didn't pan out obviously.

2021 is going to be THE year.

It was my first time through Xenoblade DE and I really enjoyed that. I got some fun out of clubhouse games. Paper Mario was good for me but I guess i'm not familiar with the GameCube or N64 ones. I really enjoyed the humor it in it but the battles were incredibly annoying.

Hyrule Warriors is good so far but i'm not really into Musou games. I am pretty much going through it just to see the cut scenes and calamity stuff.

I cancelled my Pikmin 3 pre order (don't tell arcadia) I just have too many games on my backlog for something I was pretty meh about.

Purchased TMS but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

What time is it?
-Animal Crossing is my Game of the Year.
-I beat Mario 64 for the first time.
-I'm getting close to wrapping up Sunshine for the first time.
-Pikmn 3 Deluxe is fun
-Smash keeps adding content.
-Club House Games has Shanghai
-Still need to play Story of Seasons DORaEMON and Friends of Mineral Twn.
-Curse of the Moon 2 is rad
-NMH1-2 + Wonderful 101
-Deadly Premonition 2 performs like teezzy teezzy trying to pick up women.
-Age of Calamity is a nice venture back into BOTW.

It's a port heavy year but I've used my Switch a ton.

I love Age of Calamity and can't put it down. I figure Breath of the Wild already told us everything we need to know about the canonical events leading up to that game's story so why not get a different take on it. I'm a big stupid idiot but there are plenty of good moments in AoC's story.

Not a huge Animal Crossing fan but it is quite funny seeing it up against a bunch of grrr super serious competitors for game of the year at TGA tomorrow.

NMH 1+2 were nice surprises. Lots of smaller releases and ports this year but it's been good for the backlog at least.

Honestly the only thing that really disappointed me so far is that they haven't announced Jonesy for Smash yet.
