What time is it?
Everyone is joking but I am totally up for more FE characters.

I kind of have the same stance on Directs being done as Arlo here. I think Nintendo has found a new way to get information out it might mean that Directs are dead.

Neat.

I haven't been following Nintendo (or any game) announcements lately. This shows how much of a dinosaur I am now having taken myself out of the loop. The who Directs and Treehouse thing was cool when they first started (still cool). The Treehouse streams really make sense in this age of game streaming. I believe people just have to re-frame their minds as to how they are surprised. Waking up and seeing this random thumbnail for this new thing is the surprise. The disappointment should only be there for people who run a channel and want time to schedule a reaction.

No idea if directs going away is a good thing or not. I guess it would get people to focus on one or two things instead of a deluge of information all at once. I've forgotten about smaller announcements in Directs before just because they were overshadowed by something far bigger.

I don't anticipate directs going away.

I think Nintendo was in a scenario where release plans got shuffled around and they wanted to be flexible to releases. Similarly third parties were making their own release decisions. I anticipate a return to more a regular announcement cycle in 2021. I don't think the Twitter reveals had nearly the same impact or reach as the direct format.

Spawnwave reported that Capcom is resurrecting(FINALLY, YES!) the Ghosts N Goblins I.P. and it's apparently using their
newest RE Engine. I hope they keep it 2D side scrolling with healthy amounts of parallax scrolling and other tricks to really
pay tribute to the earlier games but giving us something fresh. Possible trailer during the Awards show tonight.

For the love of God, please be true and reveal this tonight.

Man I’ve been playing Aria of Sorrow and forgot how simple but great the games were on the GBA, if they can port the Castlevania series to the Switch in one collection I think it would sell very well.

I don't know if it's considered a hot take ITT but I enjoy pretty much all of the GBA and DS igavanias (haven't played Harmony of Dissonance yet) more than Symphony of the Night.

As good and legendary as Symphony of the Night is, it IS kinda easy so it's nooot that much of a hot take imo. The newer ones definitely balanced things like that better.

Hey all! Wanted to say to everyone, have fun tonight, should be a fun time, I think! We'll see what happens. Can't wait to see the Smash reveal, whoever it is, and for whatever else comes. Rooting for ACNH for GOTY. Hopefully, if this is okay, my son and I will be doing a bit of streaming of the event, and anyone can join us. We don't have any monetization or anything at this time, I'm just trying to get going on this streaming thing. I'm TheBeardedOne150 on Twitch, Youtube, and FB, and TheBeardedOne15 on Twitter. If this is problematic in here, mods, please feel free to remove the part about streaming.

🍻🥂🥃 Anyhoo... here's to a fun night! Enjoy, all!

Everyone, here's hoping some actual good new annoucements tonight. Last year we didn't get really all that much, so it's not hard to beat that.

Eh I'm not a huge fan of 3rd party characters in Smash so Sephiroth is pretty meh for me, but I do hope they use this as an excuse to fix the travesty that is FFVII Smash music selection. I'm sure some people are hype though. I do like that this adds to the whole heroes and villains thing that they have been playing with in this game though and am always happy to get new characters.
