Bayo isn’t attractive. I said it.

I hope its a new one as well. Honestly the only two Metroids that needed to be remade have already been done and both really well. I honestly think Zero Mission might be one of my favorite games in the series and I really enjoyed Samus Returns. Super Metroid I think stands up pretty well and I don't think it has anything to gain from a remake. I would love to see Samus head into a universe post Metroid Fusion cause I really would like to see how they deal with the story ramifications of that game like her pissing off the federation.

Next year is also Metroid's 35th anniversary and while I'd be surprised if they made an effort to make a big celebration for it it seems the cards might be lined up for it. We know Metroid Prime 4 is in development, but who knows how far along it is and if the rumors are to be believed you also have that 2D Metroid and then the Metroid Prime Trilogy has been supposedly sitting around just waiting to be released.
That's exactly what I want. Metroid: Renegade with a Samus on the run. Hopefully we see it in the next Direct.

how was it ?

It's tough to nail exactly. I think the rice farming can be a bit tedious in certain ways that do get alleviated a bit as the game progresses and can be automated, but you'll probably want to do it yourself during the first few harvests, so it will be a bit dull. Combat wise I think the mechanics are great, the enemy variety less so and it's not quite as skill focused as I'd like. And by that I mean your stats in the end will be what lets you progress most of the time. You'll also have repeat runs of levels.

On the positive side, I do like the characters, it has a lot of charm, the combat and your abilities are pretty fun so I would say if you like that sort of sidescrolling action game, go for it. I'd rate it about an 8/10 at this point in time.

I keep looking at that game on the eShop, but I just don’t know about the rice farming part.

Well as I said, I do think it's tedious BUT it is a relatively small part of the game. So like, the planting, taking care off and harvesting are relatively short-lived through each game year. It's something that definitely makes me dock a point off but on the other hand I don't believe it sours the game in any significant way either. But that's just my opinion ofc. Maybe check a few videos or something to get a better idea of it.

I’m replaying Aria of Sorrow after finding my GBA to see if it still works.....and i it’s still a great game.
I have to say Nintendo makes systems that last if you don’t abuse the shit out of your consoles, surprised it still takes a full charge after almost 20 years.

I dug out my Gameboy Micro earlier this week and have been messing around with my GBA library. It's been fun and nostalgic.

So what's the general consensus on AoC? Is it worth picking up for someone that isn't the biggest fan of Dynasty Warriors style games but is interested in getting more from the BOTW story/world?
It’s more Dynasty Warriors than Zelda. It’s fun, and the story is cool, but it’s a Warriors game through and through. I ended up enjoying my time with it, but I don’t know if I’m going to go back when DLC is inevitably released.

I believe they are going to put all classic games under the new NSO button instead of having a separate app for each.

Thats kinda what I'm thinking too now that they are all available there and able to be launched directly into a game instead of having to go through the app. I would like to think that they are going to launch GB/GBC/GBA as one final free service for NSO and then give the option to buy games directly as well for N64/GC/Wii under the guise that they are updated like in Super Mario 3D All Stars. Hopefully they just tweak the UI for the NSO button cause having to find games by release year, while maybe fun if you are into trivia, is such an odd choice for how they sorted it.

Morning switch friends. What is everyone playing this weekend. I was working on cyberpunk but I think I will wait for a couple more PlayStation patches.

back to aoc and demon souls for me.

I'm playing Pikmin 3. It was a game-changer when I read that you didn't actually need to rush everybody home to the ship before the day ends. You just need all the pikmin in your party. I'm enjoying the game a lot more now without the time stress.

I really enjoy the game, but I loved Hyrule Warriors too. I would say give the demo a spin it has two story stages to try and I think two side missions as well. if you like what you see there you'll be good. If you don't the game doesn't play drastically different than that. It definitely is a Dynasty Warriors game at its core, but it has a bunch of BotW touches that separate it even from Hyrule Warriors: DE. I really dug the story, but Zelda story gets me hype far more than it should anyways.
