I’m a little surprised by how well Eternal turned out. DF seems to be sleeping on it to find five days of different ways to say Cyberpunk looks good on PC, and awful on consoles

, but the analyses I’ve seen have it looking and performing better than than the first, if anything.
It’s so commonplace, being amazed by what developers can pull off on a tiny six inch slab, that it belies the sheer enormity of the accomplishment. It is a very, very big deal to have the year’s third best looking game, packed with detail, vast levels, and visual excess in every frame, running and looking just fine on Switch with cutbacks.
Now give me the Switch Pro so I can be even more amazed.
