There was a Nintendo showcase and not even a link to it from GAF? Nintendo has fallen. Damn.

I hope they bring a real Direct before April. Jeez.

I'm very happy that Grindstone is coming out (and getting a physical copy too). Definitely getting that. Capy is one of the best puzzle devs out there. I was playing through M&M Clash of Heroes just last night.... weird coincidence. :pie_thinking:

34 bucks sold exclusively thru a website I've never used

Pass.

I swear they price these 15 buckos games like this since they know YOU people will buy em.

(you)

Why yes I bought SoR4 physically?

I sorta want to play it though.

iam8bit is one of the o.g. boutique physical print sites. They did Hyperlight Drifter and Rez (re-release).

Anyway, I don't think it's exclusively through them, they just have a unique version / launching first.

They're not doing the Hyperlight Drifer release

In europe it's available via Abylight:

https://abylight.com/buy/collectors-edition-hyper-light-drifter-special-edition/

And for North America it's available through Limited Run:

https://limitedrungames.com/collect...ts/hyper-light-drifter-special-edition-switch

But you're likely right about Grindstone not being exclusive to IAm8Bit. Most of their releases also tendo to get a limited release through Bestbuy. IAm8Bit's versions just tend to have alternative covers and a few extra in the package that the retail release doesn't get.

That's one of the many re-releases of Hyperlight Drifter. iam8bit was the first to release it several years ago when it first game out.

The fact that something like that doesn't exist anywhere boggles my mind. At least Switch got the FF Legend Collection, even if they're not technically FF games.
I agree with you. It seems like a collection would sell well, especially on the Switch.

I only replied to this, instead of just reacting, because I needed a pretext to tell you that your new avatar is upsetting.

Ah, fair enough. Thought you were referring to the Switch release.

Fisti-Fluffs - movement looks like Gang Beasts. Not my thing, but I guess it could do well on Twitch depending on if it has enough variety that the laughs don't get tired

Cyber Shadow - this makes me nostalgic for old games I used to play

Calico - ...this game was made for resetera (one deer girl even has a 5 oclock shadow)

Alba - this looks cute but I'm not sure how much game is in the game

Gnosia - Among Us: the visual novel

Happy Game - I'm a bit over the 'depression is edgy!' aesthetic

When the Past was Around - I might actually get this. It's pretty cheap and I like puzzle games. Has great ratings on steam

Hoa - it's nice to look at but it could end up being like simplistic, like Gris

Hazel Sky - I can't tell how much action is in this puzzle game. Hazel Sky should take a lesson from Hazelight Studios; A Way Out was great until it tried to be an action game at the end

Trash Sailors - no

Finding Paradise - yes

I like the cross-collab between indie devs, like putting the A Hat in Time kid in Tunche and Shovel Knight in Cyber Shadow. It's great to see.

The game deserved more releases so I'm glad it's no longer exclusive. The aftermarket prices for the iam8bit print were/are double the original sticker price, even for Used copies (see below)

So I hooked up my SNES mini after completely failing to get a next gen console. I decided to play some of the gems in there during the next 2 weeks that I'm off from work.

I started yesterday with Earthbound. I'm really digging the style and music, I'm about to beat up some punk by the name of Frank that hangs out behind the arcade. I'm level 7 right now, I've been beating up his lackeys to level up a bit.

Once I'm done with Earthbound, I will probably tackle A Link to the Past? I tried Super Mario World and I suck at it, I'm having a tough time getting used to the controller but I will get the hang of it.

Still enjoying ORI 2 <3 highly recommended to any Metroid fan👌 60fps makes the difference for this Switch version , lovely graphics and beautiful soundtrack, tons of collectibles some people apparently don't like the combat but i think it makes the game more fun, previously i mostly enjoyed the Metroid and Castlevania series for this type of game but ORI is up there with them.

however just be a little cautious on the physical edition value, the sequel is much improved in all areas specially graphics and actual combat/bosses, so i would check whats better to you and the price two of the same style may be too much 🤭

I'm playing through Donkey Kong Country 2 right nowand cannot recommend it enough. It holds up really well.

I was playing that game yesterday randomly. Never played it before. It's like a bootleg Golden Axe with dialogue 4X as bad as Resident Evil lol

Same actually, was just rummaging through the SNES app and thought "why not?". The dialogue is bad but it's not regular bad where you can still kinda make out what they're trying to say, it's just that it's...nothing. Just...NOTHING. And then suddenly guys are going Super Saiyan. Literally copyright infringement tier Super Saiyan.

It almost has this kind of...3DO quality to it somehow.

From the Indie World, I have interest only in Gnosia.

And I never heard about that Among Us that closed the presentation. So after a research, it seems that this game is a hot sensation right now and I saw some people comparing it to Gnosia, but one have a art style that I liked, so...

What are the chances Sephiroth is available shortly after the showcase?
I think quite likely. I'm assuming by "shortly" you're talking about within a few hours. I think we easily see it Tuesday or before, but I also think there's a high probability we see it today, within 3-4 hours of the showcase. Has happened a few times through the DLC passes. I don't think we see a Steve situation, since they waited a week for the presentation anyway.

Course, all this is like trying to read tea leaves on a setup (the Smash DLC) that has shown itself to be anything BUT predictable at this point. If there's any consistency here... it's that it's been unpredictable. :messenger_beaming: :messenger_sunglasses:
