Doesn't she technically experiment on others, to quite a brutal degree in Noire's future though? That's mostly where it's coming from when I say that.
From what I remember, she experiments on her daughter to help her grow. (strong against dark magic) She even sacrifices herself to save Noire in the "other" future. Before you recruit her (with Chrom) she even feels sad lives are being lost in the name of a shit king. Not a yandere but I can see how people think that.

If I'm wrong about your gothfu Lionel Richie Lionel Richie correct me.

I think that's about it, I don't think she's a yandere. She just got a funky haircut and craves your dick. Most characters in Fire Emblem are into weird experiments of some kind, so I don't even think that's taboo in the lore.

You can do it next time! I believe in you!

My man you were right on the money. I made it out on my very next attempt, with the gun thing. Felt great! But... What happens afterwards is a bit underwhelming. It makes sense both in gameplay design and lore, but it just feels like the game is telling me to do the same thing again but faster. At least they could have made the next goal clearer, oh I'm supposed to haul ass all the way over there because Zagreus still has some questions? Fuck his questions, I want to hang around the house and make love to Nyx.

It pushed the game down a notch in my current GOTY power rankings, Animal Crossing regained the top spot.

It’s the journey! It’s the friends you made along the way!

Do it for her Skelly.

I'm going to put something under spoilers but it's not anything major:

Had to Google how many times I have to get out for the true ending. I know that's probably a shit move and maybe I've spoiled SOME MAGIC out of it, but having a clear number feels much better. Faith restored, I'm going on a rampage.

Yeah, I had that sense of being underwhelmed when I cleared it the first time too. What kept me coming back was the weapon variants and power combos. I think the run through the dungeon is the fun part.

Absolutely, the variety is amazing when you consider the daedalus hammer alternatives. On my successful run with the railgun, I had a special variant that bombed motherfuckers 3 times in a row. It felt AWESOME.

On the flipside, some of the runs can be just awful depending on if you get crappy Daedalus picks. Some runs I would just die on purpose because my boons were so pitiful.

Yeah I had some stillborn runs that were very frustrating. I don't like the bow nor the spear very much, but I do like the other 4 weapons.

Astral Chain is so fucking awesome, I feel like a garbage man, going after every can on the ground. Ain't no city gonna be dirty while I'm around.

And off topic: just found out a friend of mine is working on Genshin Impact, pretty fucking cool. Still waiting for it on the Switch.

Wow, your friend has a whale of a job then.

Remember Wii U and 3DS getting pulled from UK retailers’ shelves in their prime, and how bad it was? It can’t be understated what a turnaround this is.

I enjoyed the games of that era, how much fun Iwata made it all, with his shenanigans and amazing Iwata Asks, and I’m glad I was able to cast my mindset in a positive direction, but those were some dark times for Nintendo.

Agreed, I don't think it's a coincidence that in those years I didn't play games as much and stopped visiting neogaf.

Tell him to optimize that bitch better. Base ps4 is aids and pro is barely better. I fear for the switch port. Also to make them have bigger tits.

Not trying to be a jerk. But is it actually a good game story wise /etc? I saw a bunch of streamers playing it but I never really read anything into it. Asking for Newly Vacant Newly Vacant
It does. If you are a mythology buff or like SMT like games this one is oddly similar to it. The environment is like BoTW+ and is actually pretty neat once you get out of boring not Germany. It is surprisingly dark at times as well or campy. Plenty of people didn't care much for it until they gave it a chance. (Just like XC2) I just wish the rates were better for non story characters and that it was properly optimized on consoles. I hear it runs 60fps on the ps5 though... you traitor.

I really liked Xenoblade 2's variety of Blades (summoned, unique weapons), and Genshin Impact's gacha-system reminds me of that. For some reason, I like the mechanic of finding new characters, that add different abilities, and being able to summon them as needed. The randomness in Xenoblade 2 was frustrating at time, but it made the experience unique. The thing that worries me about Genshin Impact is the monetization aspect, and the rarity mechanic. I don't want to have to grind to find a character, and then grind to find more copies of that character to upgrade.

Honestly, I think I just want more Xenoblade 2, or games that implement that type of mechanic.

Edit: Grammar issues.

It looked rough, mechanically, to me.
It can be at times. Specially the grind but it is nowhere at the level of other gachas ironically.

Rates are shit, they could be better yes. As for the constellations, the bonuses are amazing when fully maxed out but outside of the literal gauntlet/abyss you don't need em. We've had other gaf ppl beat the entire thing to date with the starter characters as well. (don't do this lol)

Yeah, the monetisation is the big issue with that. Once you're really into these games it becomes hard to resist dropping money into them if Genshin at least has that similar sort of mobile style of getting you invested. You'll think you're too seasoned to fall for it but this shit is really insidious in how it will try to get you to spend money.

I'm not trying to disparage Genshin Impact mind you, but the pitfalls of this style of game are what they are. Probably the best idea is to just play the main game and leave it at that.

I do really want more Xenoblade 2 though as long as they don't add monetisation, still my fav game on the Switch.

Game really shines in its narration. Wish we had more of that rather than it being tied to the main story/events. As for spending money on F2P games? I never do, but if you want to go for it and thank you for keeping the game alive whale! :)

I hope 3 isn't a downgrade and plays like Torna.

Master Chief
or games that implement that type of mechanic

Go ahead and sell that extra kidney...
