I have no issue playing as gay character but my big issue was with original Ghost of Tsushima is that story just wasn’t very good in my opinion.

And some story stuff I saw from Veilguard was very cringy and bad make me less interested in Ghost of Yotei.

The "So..I'm non-binary" and "nobody likes to be a woman" dialogue were oscar level of dialogue, so obviously it was a woke witch hunt. Nothing to do with inserted social view, just a normal non-human race in a well created dialogue.

Witcher 3 is well know for its dialogue, if you can find a single piece of writting considered bad in there (or even mid), you can show to me.
No, what I show was just the most notable ridiculous ones. Theres way more stupid 5 year grade level of writting in there, like character stating the absolute obvious and repeating the same line over and over again.
If you ever want to do some kind of defense or thinking "is not as bad as people saying", then you are in for a ride. If this was in movie industry, movie critics would think this was written by retards.

Yep. It's a side mission so maybe some people just missed it... but the woke elements were definitely present in Tsushima.

And given the kind of shit that Sucker Punch employees post over at Resetera these days, it's a foregone conclusion that Yotei will take it even further.

Having said that, if the gameplay is still great then I'll most likely still pick it up... just gotta prepare my eyes for all the eye rolling I'm going to do.

Come on, this is hardly surprising. Imagine the backlash if the character isn't as gay as the person who dubs her.

Female leads in modern Western fiction can't be straight or have any straight love interest. And the ones that aren't lesbian due to canon (see MJ) behave as one. I don't care about it in this game as long as it doesn't get too preachy and the action is good.

What is surprising? We know nothing about this character. All I'm reading is a bunch of assumptions.

They can’t change course that fast, they’ve likely been in polishing phase since a year back.

The tide has been turning since 2024 but many of the biggest games coming from these big corporations in 2025 and even 2026 will be targeted at the group of people who 5 years ago were shaming everyone who weren’t all aboard to normalize lbtq and gender confusion.

It’s why Avowed will pull the same strings and Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Fable and Intergalactic and this and Perfect Dark and likely The Witcher 4 and so on.

The games that were still in the planning stage 2024 and onwards when the tide started turning will likely target the group of people who are now tired of all that.

Doesn’t have to be non-binary to shit it up. None of the Sony sequels I mentioned had non-binary/trans characters (maybe Spider-Man 2, don’t remember), but they all had substandard writing and modern audience direction.

Veilguard not only had the stupid trans stuff but it also had generally weak story, weak characters, no conflict and more of modern tripe.

This is the issue. ME Andromeda sucked not because of Trans. Spider-Man 2 storyline and characters were not written badly because of Trans. Or look at how badly GoW2 dragged on or how Horizon 2 story has gone to shit.

Nobody is thinking they are all of a sudden going to do “top surgery” or whatnot in GoY. But it’s very likely they will be injecting “modern sensibilities” into it so to speak.

I guess it depends on what you expect to get out of the game and how much do you tolerate this shit. I am just tired of this in the face modern audience BS.

I mean hell, BG3 and Hogwarts were very progressive games and yet they didn’t try to preach and jt all worked out.

I thought the story mostly worked in GoT. Was it amazing? No, but it was fine for the game in general. Some characters were good, others middling, but at the least it wasn’t offensive.

However, the game was generally done before Sony’s latest push, so add the new writing “talent” and I am going to be skeptical about the direction and writing of GoY.

If I am wrong that would be great and I will gladly eat that crow same as I did with Indy. Same with Wolverine or the new and bald Naughty Dog game.

That's fair. I'm the first to point out Spider-man 2's woke bullshit so I'm also hopeful that this was just SBI nonsense and Sucker Punch has nothing to do with any of it.
