All third party games you're better off buying on the ps5, series x, or pc. You'll be paying full price for a gimped version of said game when it makes 0 sense too. You buy a switch 2 for nintendo games and first party games in general really.
I agree but the casual market does not care about graphics, fps, etc. Just look at how well the Switch sold with gimp hardware all these years.

If they have a better online experience then switch 1 and decent enough hardware I think they can outsell sony and MS again because they are more consistent with first party releases plus they will get more 3rd party support now if they have a more powerful console.

My god, Gigabowser, you've definitely secured the honor of "most illegible title" with this thread, which would be a huge accomplishment if you weren't already the previous recordholder.

In all seriousness, I hope Scheier is right, because I don't know if I could survive three months where the only Switch 2 game discourse was arguing over whether the new Mario Kart is crossgen.

So they want to go the Sony route and have 3rd parties carry the system? Well if anything, Xbox will probably be a major 3rd party on the system this time around. There's your portable Xbox!
Or maybe Switch 2 is an Xbox :goog_eek:

The way Nintendo is handling it, I suspect this is done to keep original Switch audience there, while encouraging only enthusiasts to upgrade.

A lengthy cross gen incoming.

3rd party can announce games whenever system is announced. They don’t dictate how a system is announced.

I don’t think those third party games are a big selling point of the Switch (unless you mean JP 3rd party like Atlus / Falcom / KT etc). It’s nice that they exist though.

All the Switch 2 needs for this year is a new Mario and Mario Kart and Pokemon ZA. That would be an insanely strong 1P lineup.

Probably not, but it’ll still be interesting to see what’s on offer. Even though I’d never buy it I’m still curious if they’ll port something like Baldur’s Gate 3 and make use of the mouse controls, for example. And if they do, it’ll be interesting to hear how well it actually works.

They could announce ports at least and just show PS4 footage.

TBH, I don't quite know why I'm invested with anything to do with the Swtich 2, ATM

1. I just got a Steam Deck OLED last week which will keep me more than occupied for the foreseeable future when it comes to handheld gaming
2. I'm seriously not going to buy a Switch 2 unless & until it comes with an OLED screen.

So if is OLED you're going to be quite invested?
