I think we had a similar topic already...

I'm gonna buy one when the next zelda open world is out or if metroid prime 4 look unmissable or if they reveal an unmissable third party of my liking like something a new monster hunter just for sw2.
Yes, but small group of people wants to see a negative reaction for the Switch 2… And is not going to happen, poll is going to end with over 80% of people here buying one.

Its clear they went the safest route possible (understandibly so)

And if they had been cooking anything exciting, we would have heard it 6 months ago in the leaks.

What we got is a Switch with bigger screen and underwhelming specs.

So nothing exciting for me.
Understandable. Its a better Switch, if you don't like Nintendo then fair enough.

I'm just glad we don't have a WiiU situation. The Switch fits my needs perfectly so happy to see a better version just around the corner.

tv dock for my switch is not working, its out of warranty and repair cost is around 100, only reason i am considering by switch 2 isntead of spending money on switch og, it should not be more then 400 CAD and those freaking stick drift must be fixed.

I'll buy one for sure, day one if one of the lineup games interests me, on the other hand I could buy Luigi's Mansion 3 now... I played the first on gamecube and I enjoyed it very much.

I brought a Switch for BOTW, sold it a few years later.

I brought a OLED Switch for TOTK, still have it.

Assuming next Zelda is along the lines of BOTW and TOTK i'll likely by one, unless the new Zelda comes out on the Switch 1.

New mainline Zelda is likely year away. Switch 1 will be gone by then i'd imagine

probably? at least for Nintendo games like the Switch 1 has ended up being, plus I want it for hopefully improved performance in a lot of Switch 1 games

it’s mostly a question of how hard will it be to order and what’s the price for when I can fit it in my budget

I can't imagine anything shown today would change anyone's mind. It'll be a more interesting question in April.

This reveal looked about on par with the Switch OLED reveal until we get more information.

Yes at some point when a game comes out that interest me. I see no reason to buy it day 1 yet, but maybe that'll change once the launch lineup is announced.

A new mainland Pokemon or Zelda game could get me to bite day one.

Only if some games, which will really interest me, will be released for Switch 2 exclusively. I bought first one for Xenoblade 2 and Three Houses.

I haven't played the Switch in ages since I got the PS Portal. I play at home and the WIFI is good for the games I play so I'll wait a while. I'd like to see what the Switch 2 can do over the likes of a Steam Deck as I'd probably be swayed to making a final decision.

I'm delighted Nintendo didn't fuck up the name. Super Switch or 'New' Switch would have killed the Switch 2 with casuals since they look roughly the same. Casuals wouldn't see the point in upgrading.

Definitely buying it. Whether it's day 1 depends on day 1 offerings. BOTW made a massive difference, but most launch windows have dogshit games.

Unless they show something mind blowing, I don’t need one at launch.

Honestly I don’t need one at all, until Grandkids arrive and come of age. By then it’ll be something else.

You can get a small USB C to HDMI adapter on aliexpress with USB ports on it for $1.50. Or get it on ebay from someone closer flipping it for $3.

I did, so I don't have to worry about carrying a dock to use it on someone elses TV. Just use the right charger.

Why is "maybe" not an option on the poll?

Wait and see for me. I only played a handful of Switch games since I got one in 2018. It's mostly collected dust otherwise.

Got a Switch OLED that’s never developed drift after hundreds of hours gameplay. Think I’ll ride it out for a couple of years for that revised model. We’ll see.

I loved the heck out of my Switch and I will always love Zelda, Fire Emblem and Mario games.

But these last years of navigating the eShop and the shitty performance of many titles on the Switch was just too much.

I've grown comfortable with the PS5 (Pro) and crossplay gaming.

I don't see myself adding another console and an extra library of Switch 2 games when I'm already overwhelmed by titles on the PS5.

It would require insanely good looking Pokemon, Zelda, Fire Emblem and/or Monolith Soft games to get me to pull the trigger.

But I'm curious!
