Kingdom Come: Deliverance II ⊰♖|OT|♖⊱ Stop! Or My Henry Will Swing His Sword!

Why does the game unlock so late tomorrow? 12:30pm locally, so not much point in staying home tomorrow.
Will take Wednesday off instead.

... actually haven't played original game cuz of the way they did combat, bad performance and shitload of bugs.

It'll be interesting to see how they'll address all this in the sequel and if it's way better in all of those aspects, I'll just watch the story recap of KCD1 and jump right in :messenger_relieved:

Now the performance is fine 1080p 30fps solid and almost no bugs. I had rarely encounter bugs. They fix the game but no update for current gen. The combat is still the same.

There are many times I wish Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was easier to like. Easier to get into, easier to enjoy, and easier to savour in the long-run - and that's before we get into the knotty briar patch of its director being a vocal supporter of a movement whose effects continue to cause real and tangible harm to the wider industry. But I also don't think it really cares about being liked, either. Which is fine, as I don't really much like it myself. There's a lot to admire here, sure, but you have to do so on its own terms. It is a hard and maddening slog at times, but one that still has its moments where it surprises and quietly delights. Like the original, this isn't an RPG designed to make you feel good - you continue to be little more than a passenger in this historical tapestry, following along behind the horse tails of Henry's betters, and clearing up the mess they leave behind. Some will revel in that work, but I for one won't be chomping at the bit for another sequel any time soon.

What a bunch of clowns

Eurogamer keeps going out of their way to insert things OUTSIDE the game in the scoring system which should immediately remove their score from metacritic and others. We do not give a fuck what you think about a certain person in a studio of hundreds

This also goes for the other extreme side, like Avowed. Nobody knows the quality of the game as of now but if the game is good and it’s ignored because of a single loonie, it’s as stupid in my book.

Too late, this is going on for years, and was at most during Hogwarts Legacy, when even sites like IGN which gave it fair score, had to put disclaimer in the review itself, reviewers lost all professionalism and integrity.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Same as the first

In fact bandits would tie ropes at head’s height on a horse on paths to fuck you up real good
Really? Never noticed! I thought the bandit's ropes where more of a scripted thing.

WIsh more games aimed for this kind of immersion, those little details sure add a lot to the game.

Well i don’t think you would see them tie it I mean, animations and everything but it was part of traps along the road.

Same with making trees block the road and they would rush you.

Been playing KCD 1 a lot lately, it’s a fascinating game.

Played the first 2h and I gotta say that it was quite the strong opener. Made a couple of short clips from one of the earlier moments in the game; there're not super spoilery, but I'll put the first one and the gif under a spoiler tag just in case.

Oh and the facial motion capture on some of these characters is really good like in this scene here with Captain Thomas:

Enjoyed what I played of the first game but never ended up finishing it.

Watched the official recap video. Doesn't seem like a whole lot happened but I'm sure the game was more about the experience in between major story events.

Will definitely play this eventually, if not at launch.

So how much is this an open world RPG?

I’m craving an open world rpg where I can slowly roam the map, do quests, level up and get cool gear.
As open ended as it gets, without getting into Minecraft and survival genre.

In part 1, only thing is they have cutscenes during which they take away freedom. They are well acted. But they have a ton of them during quests.

Man, I am so hype for tomorrow. The first game was one of the iconic cult gaming hits of last gen and now we are presumably getting a bigger, better version of the first game. Feb is so stacked for GOTY candidates.

So its 2 lands. So its open map in a way with 1 ok sized and one large. It doesn't have a ton of activities that don't center around Henry specifically(themed for him or that fit within what he is forced to do for some reason then can be done freely) but the ones that are there are deep.
The main overall theme is that its reactive to you and the activities that are there are somewhat deep but also have results that reward you very noticeably for engaging in them.
Unique as hell but not for everyone.

Im really interested with the game. I just want to be clear about something. Its just me,as a matter of my personal principle and choice against twisted woke agenda especially pertaining to twisted gender ideology, without giving to much spoiler, was the so called controversial scene
rumored sodomy
really that a big scene or obvious or is it very noticeable? Or is it skippable or optional or is it a very important scene that there was actually a reason why that scene happen? Thank you.
