Oh you poor thing. F Feel Like I'm On 42 might need to start a support group for the “survivors” of KobohI’m so confused. Jedi Survivor looks incredible on the Pro. Thought it’s supposed to look bad? unless it was just patched? I mean…
Guardians of the galaxy tested on PS5 Pro. It's not enhanced but I thought the results were interesting as the game has DRS and rarely goes up to native 4K on PS5 Pro. In the 30fps RT mode at stable 30fps and according to his resolution tool analysis there is about 52% resolution increase on average on PS5 Pro.

This was one of the games I was curious about. My copy is still sealed lol. How is it at 60fps?
According to DF perf mode was capped at 1080p, with drops to high 40's on cutscenes and 50's during battle. This was one of the games I was curious about. My copy is still sealed lol. How is it at 60fps?
Yeah because they use their own upscaling solution and not PSSR.Horizon Forbidden West looks unreal.
Not worth playing that game in the 60fps mode imo. It looks so much better in RT mode. 60 fps mode is a blurry mess

No, on base. What I want to point out is that resolution is probably still capped to 1080 in perf mode. On Pro it probably locks to 60, maybe a few drops inside the VRR range during cutscenes.Under the Pro? Unfortunate if so. I did remember the early DF analysis of this game.
Rift Apart has always looked better. No idea what’s with people’s obsession with this Forbidden West.HFW is the closest game to CGI running at 60 FPS I've seen on consoles.
High frequency detail, photo realism and human faces? Also when it comes to pro specific enhancements, their upscaling is objectively better than PSSR. Wonder if they are using any of the ML hardware to get such a boost, maintain 60 fps and also enhance visuals beyond quality mode.Rift Apart has always looked better. 99% chance they’re using ML considering it’s not available on the OG PS5. That, or they put the hardware to use in a unique way.High frequency detail, photo realism and human faces? Wonder why DF hasnt done a dedicated GoWR video yet, that seems like a great game to explore more tohroughly since it allows to turn PSSR On vs Off.

It's honestly not particularly interesting. John did a segment on it. He thinks DLSS still looks the best, but PSSR looks great too. GOWR already looked quite good with TAA even on the base console, so there wasn't that much room for improvement, and unlike HFW, it doesn't face the big challenge of having to deal with the disocclusion of tons of moving foliage. It's on a similar level to TLOU Part II and Rift Apart.Looks too good
I'm not sure why this matters. Other Sony games use PSSR and also look ridiculous. Demon's Souls, all the Spider-Man games, both Last of Us games, Ratchet. Plenty.Yeah because they use their own upscaling solution and not PSSR.
I don't agree. Also, Ratchet really works best in the RTRT mode, but the IQ takes a substantial hit in those modes.Rift Apart has always looked better. No idea what’s with people’s obsession with this Forbidden West.
Definitely is. I'm currently knockin' out the Remastered original before going back to it, and while it's not quite as pristine, it too nearly hits those highs. Something about the art + tech within that world is just top of its class.HFW is the closest game to CGI running at 60 FPS I've seen on consoles.

Let’s hope they provide it to Kojima and not keep it just for their own games. That DS2 trailer quality at 60 fps is gonna be99% chance they’re using ML considering it’s not available on the OG PS5. That, or they put the hardware to use in a unique way.
I really wish this game would run 60fps on Pro…The “enhance PS4 games graphics” toggle can be very impressive. Deus Ex Mankind Divided looked quite blurry and grainy and ugly on PS5 using PS4 BC. Now it looks pin sharp on PS5 Pro.
I’m diving into it this week, patch or no patch. Planning to play on quality mode. From everything I’ve seen, only the opening segment is borked and everything else is minor after that. Will report back soonShould I wait for a SH2 patch?
Annoying that they can’t just give everyone a basic toggle

Nope, around all lights is visible shimmering and it looks rly bad! It looks like every light in game is flickering!I’m diving into it this week, patch or no patch. Planning to play on quality mode. The flickering occurs when there are visible puddles in daylight, and towards the end at Lakeview hotel (lobby area and rain sequence). Of course its not ideal, but if you get past it, more than 3/4 or the game is absolutely fine in performance mode.Nope, around all lights is visible shimmering and it looks rly bad! Welp. Guess we’ll see if the wife complains or not. This was our holiday gift to ourselves. Not going to give that up over some visual issues. We played through Alan wake 2 on the ps5. And that was shimmer city!Nope, around all lights is visible shimmering and it looks rly bad! It looks like every light in game is flickering!
Now playing AW2 on PRO and it looks great compared to SH2!Welp. Guess we’ll see if the wife complains or not. This was our holiday gift to ourselves. Not going to give that up over some visual issues. We played through Alan wake 2 on the ps5. And that was shimmer city!
Agreed. Not sure if I can do another playthrough though. But haven’t played the dlcs, so may be that is on the cardsNow playing AW2 on PRO and it looks great compared to SH2!
Recently they added option to turn off PSSR and some shimmering fixes. But in motion PSSR is MUCH better than FSR or whatever...

Could be because I'm used to PC at max settings, but my brother asked me what movie it was when he saw this screenshot.I don't agree. Also, Ratchet really works best in the RTRT mode, but the IQ takes a substantial hit in those modes.
Yeah seen the reception to it… not on my top 10 things to do for sure. But might just do it out of academic curiosity. The whole thing is like a couple of hours right?Don't even bother man, the DLCs are some of the most horrible, vacuous, superficial shite/DLCs that I ever had the misfortune of playing...
If you ever thought that AW2 was pretentious... Don't even think of touching the DLCs.
It doesn’t look that different in the 30 fps mode. The 60 fps mode does have a little reduced visual density, especially in that scene. But I don’t think it’s as much a matter of technology or quality as it is taste. Most people don’t find “cartoon graphics” with furry characters impressive, polygons notwithstanding. I do and thought it was a good game. A bit too plain and inoffensive to get high praise, but that’s been the case with insomniac for a while, it seems. Was just trying to explain why people aren’t as obsessed with its graphics as horizonCould be because I'm used to PC at max settings, but my brother asked me what movie it was when he saw this screenshot.
I think no game comes closer to a Pixar production than this. There might be more technically advanced stuff such as Alan Wake 2, but in terms of capturing that movie look, I don't think Rift Apart gets beaten. When both are maxed out on PC, Rift Apart easily comes ahead.
Haven't seen Rift Apart on the Pro in person, so maybe you guys are right. I just assumed it must look relatively similar in its 30fps mode or at least, enough to still stand above HFW.
There's still a ton of shimmering on Pro ...wait until you get to NYC area with Alan...that's when it gets bad.Now playing AW2 on PRO and it looks great compared to SH2!

The temporal solution looks just as good if not better than pssr ...something is off with it and I'm guessing it's oversharpening. The framerate is also considerably worse with pssr.Wonder why DF hasnt done a dedicated GoWR video yet, that seems like a great game to explore more tohroughly since it allows to turn PSSR On vs Off.
I'm starting to worry that Bloober won't fix it ...SH2 was my favorite game this year until the Pro patch and I've had to stop playing. I knew right away something was wrong with it is Fidelity mode.I'm playing through Silent Hill 2 right now and...man, There's a good game there married by the usual, amateurish bloober bullshit (30 FPS cutscenes, terrible fade in/ fade out before and after the cutscenes which really take you out from immersing yourself, camera spazing out in the first 5 minutes of the game, questionable animations, questionable frame rate etc).
The gameplay is pretty good but I'd be willing to wait to continue it if there's going to be a new patch available down the line 'cause right now, I'm not really feeling it since it could look so much better on the Pro
What a fucking shame boys, Bloober always fucks it up when it comes to the technical part
This this this ^^. Game is not good in any area in Fidelity ...the shadow quality is awful, shimmer/artifacts, and there's a flickering/strobing effect with lightsNope, around all lights is visible shimmering and it looks rly bad! It looks like every light in game is flickering!
Bloobers are rly assholes! At least give me option to turn off PSSR in quality mode like in performance! And I want to play in quality, not perforamnce beacuse game looks bad and I got PRO for quality mode in games
