Nintendo Tree House Announced for April 3 and April 4, Nintendo Direct Length Confirmed (60 Minutes)

I'm actually not sure mouse mode is gonna be that great. The shape of the Joycon isn't very ergonomic for using it that way compared to an actual mouse. I think I would rather play this using pointer controls, which was awesome in MP3.
Yeah I really want to get my hands on it to see how it feels, especially for a faster paced game or something competitive. For something like Civ it probably won't be that bad. I don't have large hands, but for people that do, I don't think they would be using mouse mode too much.

Looks amazing.

Metroid Prime one of the goats, best game of its generation. Glad we're getting a sequel finally.

Yeah hopefully some 3rd party company will make an ergonomic mouse-like dock thing for the joycons to be used in mouse mode

Cant stand these Nintendo Treehouse hosts. All happy and shit.

This music is literally the only thing that can make this situation worse.

of course they play a Metroid banger right after I say that.

Nintendo should consider an unlocked frame rate mode for MK World with a lower resolution. It probably can't hit 120fps very often (if ever) but an unlocked frame rate with VRR would be pretty smooth.

60 is smooth enough. Most modern games can't even hit that.

the grinding is kinda cool, but is there any skill use to it or something like in tony hawk? It seems like it might get boring if its just jump on a rail and let it take you there, no balancing/moving. Wall riding looks solid tho.

Alright Treehouse, let's see how you can sell me on paying money for this digital manual with mini games. Nintendo is out of their mind expecting money for this.

There will probably be a plastic shell you can buy that will convert it to a traditional looking mouse.

How much is this
Very curious on this too, so far I don't think we have seen a price at all. Obviously charging anything for this is too much, but I would be a little (and I mean a little) more forgiving if this was given free with a NSO subscription, but this should just come installed on the Switch 2 when you buy one.

Mouse aiming sells the whole system for me.

I hate analog stick aiming and I hate digital WASD controls for movements.
In comes Nintendo, hero of the day, with Switch 2 doing mouse aiming and analog stick movements. Perfect!

How about pointer aiming like on Wii? That combines the best of both worlds IMO. My issue with mouse controls is that I don't want to sit hunched over my coffee table when playing video games, I want to sit back and relax.

Wheelchair basketball baby! 😆 I am curious how well everything actually functions with this one. This is one where you would have to be sitting at a table to even make this work, I think some of the mouse controls on a single joycon could be done from an arm of a couch, but not something like this.
