Does it, tho? That's a GTA bundle we're talking here, they definitely shipped quite a bit out there. And it still sold out in a manner of hours.Ass Creed bundle outsold the GTA bundle for the month. GTA bundle selling out and Ass Creed bundle being still avaialble doesnt mean much at all except MS obviously shipped more and they're still the top seller.
November monthly for Amazon shows AC bundle at #4 and GTA bundle at #17 still.Does it, tho? That's a GTA bundle we're talking here, they definitely shipped quite a bit out there. And it still sold out in a manner of hours.
The truth of it is simple; MS couldn't have shipped THAT many more ACU bundles to Amazon than Sony shipped GTA ones, yet the GTA bundle sold out in hours while the ACU one has been in stock all month. The demand is simply higher for Sony's bundle. Besides it'd appear MS prioritized Target in their stocking, and that's evidently showed to have worked to some big effect.
Don't see the point in trying to refute the obvious regards Amazon and demand for one bundle vs. the other tho.
Not sure what point youre trying to make here. If Sony shipped more GTA bundles to Amazon they would have outsold them for the month?Does it, tho? That's a GTA bundle we're talking here, they definitely shipped quite a bit out there. And it still sold out in a manner of hours.

There is a microsoft shareholders meeting today...they could have been waiting for that for the numbers.
Lol with BF numbers?
Sony just unveiled a megaton, well who cares Microsoft won Black Friday...
The time for good PR is now not during or after PSX.
It hasn't updated yet.
When?
Ooh, what megaton I think I've missed some news.
There is a microsoft shareholders meeting today...they could have been waiting for that for the numbers.
Is it? I think the most plausible explanation for the lack of PR is that MS cannot say with enough confidence that XB1 outsold PS4 during Black Friday.
The effect of such PR will rapidly diminish as the memory of BF fades from the minds of consumers. If they won, there is no better time to tout it than right after the event.
In the first two weeks of November, Microsoft knew XB1 sales and they also got reports from everywhere that XB1 was the best selling console. In contrast, BF possibly gave them mixed reports with some retailers selling more PS4s.
They have an earnings report releasing today?
what were the trends on amazon with the titanfall and kinectless SKUs? did they still show PS4 as the lead console?
Way too much time is spent trying to parse Amazon numbers. Amazon sold more copies of Titanfall for the PC this month than PS4s, so we are clearly talking in the low 1000s here. With the amount of consoles that were sold BF Amazon is basically insignificant.
NPD does a mediocre job. I can't believe they don't have capacity to provide weekly sales.

If you look at the UK where Sony has been aggressive with pricing, sales between the XB1 and PS4 are basically tied for the week. The XB1 specials in the USA were too strong Black Friday, $329 plus various retail specific bonuses. One could definitely question why Sony hasn't been as aggressive in the USA as they have been in the UK. It is possible Sony just doesn't care about losing a month or two in the USA when the lead is expanding practically everywhere else worldwide.

2nd day for markets closing and still no PR from MS. Either their numbers aren't as good as they'd hoped or they are waiting for Sony to go first to upstage them.
Why would they do that? Sony always announces worldwide number so if Ms lets them go first they'll still look like fools.
So no PR, neither from MS nor from Sony. +1M sales for PS4/XB1 are probably not happening.

IIRC, it was PC Data that released the weekly charts. NPD purchased them, and ended the releases. You said it! Although at one point they did have weekly sales. Check it out:

Could they ever do this again?
I rem MS flaunting the 360 numbers just a day or two after BF ended. No PR at this current time must mean the numbers didnt meet expectations.
It's like 6% of the indication, apparently.Well if amazon is any indicator, X1 should beat the Ps4 this month
this is pretty random, but what were the best selling racing games last gen? (NPD only obviously)
I don't think either console hit 1 million tbh. We would've heard some PR by now.
