Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
I would hope so. I have a sizable library of BC games and would like to continue having access to them in future hardware as well.

Check out Mr, Bigshot with his average sized penis here…. quit showboatingLet's see Phil.
Tbh, it's the only thing I care about but if you turn around and say I can play it through the cloud. You can suck my completely average sized penis!
I can still access Drive Club , R-TypeDelta, Zanac x Zanac, and every other delisted game I paid for from the PSN server. PT was a free demo. After PT and Driveclub, I wouldn't trust digital on Playstation or PC. Trusting it on a dying platform seems even more risky.
How else do you want it to be handled?Would be a major bummer as far as I'm concerned. Native running emulation is one of my favorite things about the Series consoles and biggest disappointments on how PS3 emulation is handled on the PS side.

Seems Jez has returned to the mother ship for reprograming as we speak...

Maybe the ps5 pro has the power to emulate the ps3... Maybe, not sure about the cpu latency comparison.
Fortunately we have a product for people that aren't able to connect to cloud, it's called Xbox Series.
It can't run any of the latest more demanding games, like UC3.If RPCS3 can work on a Steam Deck to an average to reasonable extent, even if it doesn't have 100% compatibility, you can't tell me the PS5 wouldn't have had enough grunt to do system-level emulation.
Yeahh ... unless there's a proper solution, I'm gonna keep the SX in perpetuity just like I'm still holding onto my PS3.
How exactly? Even the Wii Shop Channel is still online for redownloads. Nintendo is fine.At least Phil Spencer is more trustworthy when it comes to digital libraries than Nintendo.
I wasn't worried before but I am now, lol.

This is all starting to make sense now.Anything that's not play anywhere will be cloud.
Book it.
You have no idea how complex the CELL was...So MS could get 360 games running in emulation on the One, but Sony can't get PS3 running on PS5?

When your boner for Xbox is so big that you pretend a forum user using Deepseek to summarise a real article means the real article doesn't exist. When your Xbox hate is so unhinged you can't find actual articles to fuel it you need to have AI write one for you.
Why would this need to be said?
This company is in such a weird state currently lmao.

This can’t be a serious post.So MS could get 360 games running in emulation on the One, but Sony can't get PS3 running on PS5?

He doesn't actually answer the questions he himself posed... That's a MAJOR tell. He doesn't want to be quoted in a clear cut lie.
The fact that he brings up Play Anywhere is a massive red flag for people with game libraries... It's entirely possible that they'll only keep these alive via the cloud and/or subscription.
Bottom line is Phil has been lying for years and for some reason people keep believing him even giving him unjustified awards.
If someone continues to buy into an xbox library particularly a physical one, they have no one to blame but themselves when they're unable to use it moving forward without an XSX. I wouldn't even trust them with my digital library.
I'm pretty good at catching Phil in his BS but I missed this one. Yea he doesn't really answer the question.
I hope this leads to them porting all those 360/OG xbox games to PC. I want native ports of Ninja Gaiden Black and Lost Odyssey so bad.
I have no clue why them (and Playstation) aren't porting older games to PC. I'd be more excited about older games hitting PC than newer ones tbh.I hope this leads to them porting all those 360/OG xbox games to PC. I want native ports of Ninja Gaiden Black and Lost Odyssey so bad.
You have no idea how complex the CELL was...
If it was that simple, Sony would do it as a selling point when they launched the console.
PCs still can't run (emulation) the most demanding ps3 games.

Its bullshit! Sony doesn't care about legacy stuff they actually could if they gave a damn
PlayStation 5: New Test Indicates That the Console Can Emulate PS3 Games
The test proves the claims that PS3 emulation is too much for the PS5 are false.
Nah, Sony could do it easily! Trust me, bro!!!
Cause one thing we all know, is that Sony doesn't love more opportunities for revenue increase.Nah, Sony could do it easily! Trust me, bro!!!

What the hell are you talking about? It’s called backwards compatibility with their next hardware. Why else do you think he was talking about digital?Eh, as longs as their xbones series keep working they're safe, explain to me how is MS going to transfer all of the gaming libraries to other platforms?
Is MS willing to pony up for millions in $ or through "arrangements" with publishers to repurchase these licenses in other systems or there is going to be a huge fucking * telling those who bought digital something in the likes of "tough luck kid, your library is safe, sure, BUT ONLY IF YOU SUBMIT YOUR SOUL TO THE MS STORE MUAHAHAH!"![]()
You have it all figured out. They have a handful of working games, and a massive pile of shit that doesn't run right.Hence all the remasters.
Kind of hard to believe that a bunch of enthusiast fans can get PS3 emulation working on much weaker hardware but Sony couldn't do an officially sanctioned emulator on the PS5 if they wanted to.![]()
