wait, they were hacked again?
No one knows. Unless the hackers themselves claim they did it or Sony confirms it, its just especulation. Considering the time it has been down, an attack to the PSN looks like the most likelly scenario. That or extreme incompetence. Sony themselves are losing alot of money as well as the PS Store is not working.

Are you seriously trying to defend them not saying anything for 19 hours?
Are you expecting the same exact response as "we're still working on it!" every hour? If we find out later that, once again, user data is at a great risk of being compromised with them not saying anything, sure. But I don't see the need for being so reactionary right now.
More than anything, I would complain that they don't spend more resources across these departments as it's clearly showing.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The update page could be a bit more descriptive or at least offer timed updates that they're still working on if there's an ETA on the fix.

Right now the only thing it says is that everything is down and that the downtime started 7PM, that's all.

It's rule number one for support to be informative, otherwise you get angry customers and it's unbelievable to give no updates in 17 odd hours The only excuse would be if there has been a hack, as they'd have to be careful to get the right information first.

Imagine if all players accounts were wiped after this attack. Would this be the biggest lawsuit in the century?

If this is another hacking incident I really hope you guys didn’t link your steam account to your psn…

I remember people warning people not to do it for this very reason

Mine has been like this all day and playable for Destiny 2 at least, not sure if it's still cause I use different DNS settings but happy to share if it helps anyone else.
