If it sells out it's initial shipment (Which was 30K) then it likely made profit. It's outsold the 2 Megaman games combined so far, though (Really goodXellotah said:

But really, the PSP's strength so far is established franchises, while the DS' is new franchises with broad appeal. By the end of this generation there should be a decent balance on both platforms (Partially because of one competitor trying to emulate the others' success and vice versa).

Every week, PSP numbers are going up... 50,000 is quite a healthy number now, barring DS's ridiculous heavenly ascent. But the games that are selling... Gundam? Ugh deluxe.
Anyway, I guess if these numbers are confirmed PSP has officially outpaced what it was doing last year when it was getting what was considered decent numbers.

The third game is PS2, not PSP. Its one of those SEGA pachislot games that sell amazingly well...

This is very interesting because it seems Mario Basket has stronger legs than Tamagotchi...I don't think Tama2 is locked to sell 1m, we are going to have to look at its legs, from 200k to 75k is heavy but still very good, but the thing is if it will keep at 30-50k until christmas.
