If that 1700 euro price is correct for the 5080, I'm out. Not out as in buy a cheaper Nvidia card and give them my money. Out as in not buying a Nvidia card for the foreseeable future. These guys need to get cut down a peg or two.,

If the new top end cards come anywhere near the sort of prices being speculated, I'm afraid I'm out.
I will hold on to the 3070ti I have, and slowly exit the PC Gaming scene.

Going to wait for 5080 Super with more VRAM or UDNA AMD card. 5080 pricing is just dumb if true. Hopefully Nvidia will get smacked with slow sales same as with OG 4080.

Hopefully they showcase some of their upcoming Nvidia sponsored games. I hope Avowed gets the Pathtracing treatment Indy and Wukong got.

My serious answer is it depends what they show. I already have a 4090 and I can easily max out everything I play nowadays

Nvidia is good about partnering with game studios and getting their tech integrated in new games (like Cyberpunk with path tracing). I hope they have a killer app for the 5000 series that gives me a reason to upgrade.

NVIDIA: "Today we're excited to announce Lossless Scaling -uh, I mean DLSS 4! With texture compression uh, I mean Neural Rendering! Exclusive to RTX 5000 series! At low, low price of $2499. Please be excited!"

Going to wait for 5080 Super with more VRAM

IMO, it could go either way (either they just release a 24 GB model for more money or brand it Super for the same price)

Feels like NV only really cares about the 5090 and maybe the 5070 tho on desktop.

Predicting high prices BUT the demand will be lower and these will be easier to buy.

AI sentiment is very tempered, consumers don't buy gpus for stable diffusion or anything, that's all on the enterprise gpu end. Price might be out of touch these days with inflation killing consumer spending. No covid work from home chaos. No crypto mining anymore to bump up demand again just in time. All those things happened near every release since the 2 or 3 series. I don't think we have any abnormal demand this time? Supply chains are normal again (as far as I understand) just thinking out loud.

I just hope the 5070ti is a competent 4k 60-120fps capable card at £800 or less lol.... I have a new 9800X3D build here missing a GPU that's staring at me.

If you're not getting 5090, then wise to wait for inevitable 5080ti with 24gb. This gen with 3gb memory chip and 384bit bus. Great Jenn has options to skin a cat

PS5 Pro owners.. looking to get a card.

bridesmaids help me im poor GIF
It's strange that such sayings come from people who skimp on game prices or from those who don't have the money to pay for online gaming every year. You're more likely to scrape together the last bit of money for the graphics card and then only play the free games from the Epic Store.

I'm quite happy with my 4090 laptop for the next year, but can see me pissing a load of cash away on a 5090 desktop in 2026.

Uh..no? In engine target render which means... Nothing at all.

@topic
If the leaked prices turn out to be true I'm simply out. Money is not an issue but I'll be damned if I support this and upvote Nvidia's middle finger to their customers with my wallet.
