Probably means upscaled from 360P with FSR 1.0Does "dirty visuals" mean that there are lot of dust and dirt since it's post apocalyptic game or just bad graphics?

input lag kind of is performanceIsn't reflex just for the input lag and not performance??!
Some games have problem with reflex so i have to play without and the difference is extremely minimal, especially in a slow, single player game like stalker, that's probably i never thought about it as performance gain.input lag kind of is performance
Just clarify.Yes, we've all seen your "bromance" the last few days and it has been embarassing. I'll never understand why you don't you put each other on ignore and get on with your lifes.
I agree with your main point, but I feel like the message is completely lost when you're doing it too regardless of context and in the end you'll just end up with a warning or worse yourself. In my opinion, it's generally better to report/ignore and move on.Just clarify.
My point I was making was people should not be going into threads that have nothing to do with them and just shitting them up, because it massively derails the topic.
There is a bunch of people I have been arguing with regarding this in PS5 Pro threads. So I did the same to show how fucking annoying it is.
I won't be doing it anymore and I apologize. I know it was super fucking annoying.
Not all of them left Ukraine, they moved the primary to Prague for safety, but still have a studio in Ukraine afaik. Are things really that bad in Prague right now?
They recently opened their ranks even to people who can only reach 4k60 with dlss in performance mode.Your 3080 is not that much powerful then a pro lol.
You ain't part of PCMR that's for sure.
It only seems to be a huge issue on games where PC is the lead platformReview embargo reported to be lifted 2 hrs before release. Im expecting a lot performance issues. Is UE5 just a bad engine? I feel like every UE5 game has massive performance issues. Kinda scary how many developers are using it in upcoming games, including Witcher 4
The tax to pay for being the best looking engine by far.Ue5 sucks. It released half baked, devs struggle with it and current gen, even high end pcs struggle with it.
Engine just isn't optimised. The industry has become to reliant on it.
Also, why the fuck using native resolution if not just to prove a stupid point? You know you can just turn down the settings. Settings that are typically much higher than the consoles equivalent settings even when lowering a tier.
STALKER games are a blast, and are the OG creators making this one, i have faith. Still playing Call of Pripyat to these days.I don't usually endorse GP. But boy am I damn glad I can just demo this. VRR engaged too then. I hope this aint going to be yet another quick play and uninstall job.
Considering what the devs have gone through to get this game out the door, probably. This is coming in hot isn't it.
That’s what I’m doing, but the opposite. Will be purchasing the game on Steam, but will also play on GP whenever I boot up my SX.I have an import of the physical XSX Ultimate edition (with the backpack) coming.
May end up just picking it up on Steam as well. AFAIK the EU Xbox disc should work on US console but I don’t think I’ll be able to redeem the DLC stuff out of region.
Hey, I've played them all. And they were always rough around the edges. But...yeah we'll see.STALKER games are a blast, and are the OG creators making this one, i have faith. Still playing Call of Pripyat to these days.
Can any stalker fanboy tease me with this a-life Ai stuff? How was it in the past games and how is different from other games with factions and sandboxy gameplay etc.
On past games NPC's will attack opposite factions' outposts, loot enemies corpses, collect artifacts, for example.
Wildlife/Monsters will roam the map freely as humans NPCs do as well.
These factors make for unscripted events where you can see two factions fighting each other for land and monsters attacking both of them also.
This is a rough and short example, but coming from a 2007 game is nothing short of impressive.
I'm sure someone will explain it better/ more in depth.
That sound delicious, i'm an absolute sucker for this type of shit, i was not gonna be there on day one but this is the type of stuff that need to be bought day one.On past games NPC's will attack opposite factions' outposts, loot enemies corpses, collect artifacts, for example.

Another question, what is the ratio of what you fight in the past stalkers? Do you fight more humans or creatures? (I have a huge preference for humans because usually the ia and how they react to being shoot are orders of magnitude better than creatures that run at you in a straight line, rinse and repeat.
Creatures are usually not as fun to fight as humans for me.
Praise the fucking nuclear sun.Mostly humans, weak mutants are less frequent and dangerous mutants are pretty rare.
Hey, that's my cityI hope so
All of this, plus what Jose stated, sounds excellent, and like a proper living breathing world. Genuinely hope the devs stuck the landing with this one.Mostly humans, weak mutants are less frequent and dangerous mutants are pretty rare.

How could you say it's a problem now all of a sudden though when it was a problem prior for people like yourself? We're not even talking about an AI upscale either but likely FSR. Something that people had been complaining about prior way before this too. Also, I'm not defending the marketing I'm asking the question "why is it a problem now all of a sudden?"
No preloads on PC, I will have to download 150GB then a 139GB patch? They just released a new update for the Xbox pre-load weighting 139Gb, almost like it's a whole new build. I'd personally dismiss all that was said by people who played early till this point.

Wow so like Atomic Heart situation, need to grab the game again lol, Thanks for the heads up mate.
What is A-Life?
Often, the game world exists only in the player's field of view. A-Life 2.0 is a simulation system for life in the Zone. Factions and mutants are fighting for living space, migrating, capturing new places, or retreating to safer areas.
A-Life is what makes Zone truly alive and unpredictable.
Knowing the devs, the conditions in which they have developed the game, and how buggy their first game was on release... might be a good idea to wait for a few months before jumping in.I dunno how my 2080 Super is gonna run this game, peeking at the spec list; Series X may just have to be the place of choice for me until I upgrade my GPU in a couple months.
"This is according to a recent report from the Senior Editor at Insider Gaming, Grant Taylor-Hill. In a now-deleted post on his X (Twitter) account, it looks like the reviews for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be published on November 20, 2024, at 9 AM ET—just two hours before the game officially hits shelves."When is the review embargo up?
Yeah this has bomba written all over it lol."This is according to a recent report from the Senior Editor at Insider Gaming, Grant Taylor-Hill. I don’t remember any of the games in the series launching well and all being pretty poorly optimized. I remember trying to have a powerful rig try to brute force through Clear Sky and it just chugged at weird spots and had a bunch of glitches. Games have always been good enough to steamroll through bad performance though.Knowing the devs, the conditions in which they have developed the game, and how buggy their first game was on release... might be a good idea to wait for a few months before jumping in.
No it doesn’t. If you think Stalker games are AAA, then that’s a dumb assumption on your part. This game, even if perfect, wouldn’t likely sell a huge amount.Yeah this has bomba written all over it lol.

Do you think the other three games bombed? Or the Trilogy set that released?
The way this game has been marketed and shown by Xbox was that of a AAA offering. There’s no way you can interpret it as otherwise based off of their own showings at presentations. No it doesn’t. Your numbers are way off, around a third of the Steam survey has a GPU equal or better than the base consoles (almost 40% if you include the 3060 due to DLSS). Around 12% have a GPU equal or better than the Pro. Not even half for the base, but still tens of millions of Steam users.Excuses made to cover up for technical incompetence. All about PC yet both the Series X and PS5 are more powerful than ~90% of pc's according to steam hardware survey(GPUs: 3080, 3090, 6800+xt, 6900xt, 7800xt, 7900 +xtx, 4070 + super, 4070+ti, 4080+ super, 4090). All those GPUs make up ~10% of gaming pc's. Trying to hide behind pc as the reason for poor performance is laughable. Remedy has never met performance targets on console. Control struggled on last gen ps4/xb1 at release. They got machines 5x+ more powerful and delivered a game that still had performance issues. The same is true for CDPR as well. When it comes to technical performance, they're trash. In the case of CDPR, you can excuse it a bit because they make good games. However, remedy is a completely garbage developer.
Finally, it's funny you mention the Metro series. Those guys always hit performance targets on all hardware. There's absolutely no excuse for missing performance targets when you know your hardware resource budget ahead of time. It's the base requirement to be even considered as competent.

To suddenly try to do the following :
-Prior games were ass
-Small indie dev
-Years of delays
-War in Ukraine
That’s just a cop out. If they wanted to not step it up from prior works, and be given the time to work on this through years of delays, then cancel it.
I’ll never understand how gamers are fine with one dev getting a pass for mediocrity and another being lambasted for minor issues in comparison.
Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
If this game was glowing and head a stellar wind behind it, then people would be touting it as AAA god tier, delays worth it, Xbox’s first killer app in ever, etc.
