Satya Nadella: We want to be in gaming for gaming's sake. I hate to be in businesses where they're means to some other end.

There will always be a few but if they think sales are bad now - they will be practically non existent when all their games are on PS.
Growing their base is the problem and whoever figures that out could make multiple millions of dollars

I just think as of right now they are not willing to turn their backs on the base they currently have when a new generation begins

I think at this point the brand is just far too tarnished to be salvageable.

A new entrant would probably have better luck than they are, but the question is who's gonna enter when the Xbox/Sony duo managed to build up so much digital lock-in, amongst other things..

The time is ripe for Steam to have another go at their "machines" but this time in more of a console like form factor. I think Valve is the only one that could potentially have great success with that. I would definitely be in the market for one since my library is already massive and I'm getting tired of having to rely on Windows for gaming in the future.
