There would be hardly any games.

Look at every office lobby photo of the dev teams. Asian studios are literally 100% Asian people, so you'd still get Asian influenced games from that region. But every other studio with a splashy corporate photo is almost all White people and mostly guys. For whatever reason, it's an industry that's practically all white and asian making the products. And hardly any brown skinned people.

Asians are considered white-adjacent by the wokies so you don't even have to specify that, if they consider asians as white, we can play the same game to support our narratives.

Probably not, but the industry has exploded in popularity in those 20-30 years so it makes sense that there is more diversity.

The problem is gate keeping. On one side you have people calling every game with a non-white protagonist woke, and on the other you’ve got people saying white male gamers were a mistake. People need to accept that every game isn’t for everyone and just play the shit that speaks to them. Mythwrecked was clearly not for me, so I didn’t give it a second thought, but we had a massive thread about it. Meanwhile in purple land, they’re still crying about fucking Hogwarts. I’m all for keeping politics out of games, but having a black/female/gay protagonist or character isn’t inherently political.

We’ve had so many Diverse Ugly Strong Female Protagonist games over the last couple years I can barely keep track of them all. And this one has the same Modern Audiences DEI stink all over it, including Sweet Baby involvement.

Yeah maybe this one will be the exception, but I doubt it.

I’m not trying to deflect, I’ve only seen that from people posting Grummz until someone posted proof above, which I commented on. The “gamers were a mistake” is shitty and she should probably be fired for that. Her hating white and Asian gamers is its own level of fucked, but I haven’t seen anything showing that and I’m not jumping down a Grummz rabbit hole to find it. Obviously racism is bad regardless of who it’s coming from.

See, in a bubble, it looks interesting. A setting and folklore we don't see often if at all is always a good thing.

It's a shame that it's known to have been drastically changed, and we don't know for sure whether it's for the better or for the worse. Was the original story the devs wanted to tell better, worse, or was it a neutral shift? People have already made up their mind about the answers to those, but this doesn't look horrible.

Compulsion has really stepped up production values, it seems. Looks great, voice acting is great, music is great, gameplay seems ripped straight out of Kena (which isn't bad, loved that game)... but I only have a PS5 :/

Why would they not let the little guy get the same visibility across all platforms? I'll just have to hope they release it down the line when Xbox has truly embraced the direction they are already going

Yeah, pretty much every major publisher, your Sony, MS, EA, Square's etc have one or other consultancy firms working with them, you'd be limited to only a few games a year if you start doing that.

Hell, people are starting to blacklist Kingdom Come 2 now, after championing the first game because the director said some things then but is saying something else now.

This looks better with each showing. I really dig the setting and southern folklore they are rolling with, feels unique. Gameplay wise it looks like Kena is the closest thing in comparison. Might be a surprise hit.

Looks better than expected but they don't have the chops to pull off an action game that could trade punches with Bayonetta, MGR or Devil may Cry.

Expect something on a par with Ninja Theory's DMC and you likely wont be disappointed.
