I personally couldn't even tell if this was from some MK8 addon or the new MK and I'm dead serious, not joking

At least it seems the leaks about what it looks like were 100% correct. I wouldn't be surprised if there actually are physical units in circulation in the Chinese black market like what had been reported last week.

Basically nothing new that we didn't already know. What we were expecting will be April 2nd.

I guess the Mario Kart footage is new, but honestly it just looks like it COULD be a rerelease of 8 with updates/new content.

That's the most meh console reveal of all time. Literally just "here's our new Switch which is exactly like the old Switch but a tiny bit different".

And if that game is MK9, it also looks exactly like MK8.
I'm wondering if it is MK8 and they were just showing it to emphasize backwards compatibility. Also, some Switch games will not be compatible with Switch 2? A little weird but it seems they had no intention of revealing any software at this time just hardware.

Wow with no games, I was expecting some sort of hardware reveal. I mean not specs, but at least whatever new feature or gimmick. They just acknowledged its existence.

I wonder if their original plan was late 2025 release, Spring reveal, and we just got this "update" thanks to leaks.

In before it can't run Netflix and YouTube on launch again

Wait so where is the innovation?

The Switch just out sold the PS2 in the US.

Anyone underestimating this is huffing hopium.
Are we repeating the Switch launch patterns on GAF, just in reverse this time? lol

Edit: Forget about the hw, I was really disappointed by the bits of what was supposedly MK9 we saw. I was thinking how many years after 8's launch, there would be some striking visual differences between the two titles, and I'm not talking resolution or graphical fidelity.

Nice supports all previous switch games. Looking forward for the February April details!

Edit: Damnit, the details date would be February localized in my country :(.
