Good, maybe they'll wake the fuck up and do something with the IP.
hasn't most accounts that we've gotten stated that FromSoft were the ones not interested to go back to it.

Also in general I highly expect it to go third party after a timed exclusive window. After Elden ring they'd be silly not to, unless Nintendo are really dumping insane trucks of money to keep it.

I expect it to go much like how monster hunter Rise did.

yea, so retarded they have actual new launch games while Ninty doesnt.
As someone who's owned PlayStation consoles for 20+ years, this is some stupid ass bait. Nintendo actually has games that look good and fun to play right now, not AAA cinematic hand-holding mass appeal slop.

Pretty cool presentation, new hardware looks a lot better and more durable. Not sold on the mouse controls though.

Chat feature was meh.

MK World looks great. Looks like it's going to coast by on upgraded Switch 1 titles for awhile but hey so did the PS5 and Pro.

Will get one next year.

Overall a mediocre presentation. I saw only 1 Nintendo launch game. Unless DK was one. Other than that just newer faster hardware. I don't think they really showed the dock other than the fan.

Most Impressive game has to be DONKEY KONG.
I mean people have seen what Nintendo can do with Mario games. Now you can have true leveloution, the creativity in this game is going to be insane.

Well apparently Nintendo getting 3rd party games is now a BAD thing according this thread 🙄

Rebirth is coming next year.
These are the games you could buy for years on other platforms, many of them sub $10. They already look rough during official presentation, in a year or two no new games will be coming. For PC handheld you can buy a better version in a year or two, not so much here (although I think this time they are definitely releasing a Switch 2 Pro).

Pretty terrible presentation, even apart from the streaming issues. Kart, DK, Duskbloods all look good, but there was waaaay too much filler. That needed to be trimmed down by about 30 minutes. Also 2 months out and they can't even say the price yet? What are they waiting for?

The DK game makes me realise that they might be importing elements of Wreck it Ralph. The bit when DK is falling certainly remind me of it.

And also, that game clearly was built from the old school gameplay first design. That they make the environment highly destructible but then give the player the climbing ability of DK, so you will never get stuck. They must have came up with the destructible environment before deciding DK is the perfect fit as the protagonist.

Side eyeing Project Red 👀 a whole Nintendo switch 2 version but no PS5 pro version?

On topic though, the direct was meh imo. Also did anyone see a date or did I miss it?

Welp. Atrocious hardware that looks around 1/3 as capable as a PS4, with an exclusive Miyazaki-directed Bloodborne 2. Paid upgrades for barely noticeable resolution/framerate bump on Switch 1 games. A fun looking Mario Kart game. Gamecube emulation. Donkey Kong Cobalt Mining Simulator.
On one side, shit hardware with barely any new games, on the other, bloodborne2 miyazaki directed exclusive, we are just but weak mortal men here, we gonna buy it :messenger_loudly_crying:

The price is probably around $500 USD. That's why they didn't show it.
That's my theory. If they were ready to go at $399( a price they're well aware is what people are 'hoping' for), they'd have dropped it at the end. Also note the lack of pricing for 'upgrade paks' game enhancements, confirmation of Switch 2 game prices. I wouldn't bet against the online increasing either, especially with Gamecube added.

Terrible camera accessory
The game-chat feature looked awful.
Mouse feature looked awkward/ not ergonomically good.
Wheel chair basketball? WTF

Mariokart looked fun. Duskblood I'm not sure about, looked bit like a knock off Bloodborne, felt like it was not done by Fromsoftware even though it is.

I will skip this Nintendo gen again,

Honestly, I think you would struggle to call this a Switch Pro let alone a Switch 2...

Depending on the price, this might be Nintendo's PS3 moment, except that Sony jam packed the PS3 with tech and this just looks lazy.

You got me confused with someone else? I was nothing but positive until midway through the show.
Same, was super hyped for this, I only have myself to blame. For a console reveal and considering how long its took, color me disappointed.

I'll still buy one but it looks outdated already, no wow factor at all and severely lacking Nintendo games.

I thought Donkey Kong looked great, but this is not preorder-worthy for me (which I kinda expected, but I wanted to give them a chance).

Having the welcome tour game be paid is pure bullshit from Nintendo, that should have been Astro Playroom'd to get people into the new system's capabilities.

Finally, all the hype about the Switch 2's graphical boost and how it will definitely match PS4 Pro etc looks like it was pure nonsense and hopium from Nintendo fans.

I think that's placeholder
That looks like official site to me, no? If so, then Nintendo has the option to just not put up anything.

I think no price at this point is definitely sus.

Mario Kart World, June 2025

Kirby Air Riders, 2025

Launching Kirby within 6 months of mario kart feels like self sabotage lmao. That is an odd scheduling choice.
It's probably what they had ready to go.
