No, it's not. What's with the revisionist history only to conform with the new corporate narratives? :D

It's literally in the name. X-BOX.

It is literally the name of the console. Everything else spawns from that.
xbox is just a brand name, its very clear MS doesn't care anymore about consoles and is focused on getting on as many screens as possible.

Pathetic. As an Xbox main user, I feel embarassed by this bullshit. They are permanently showing their failure, and trying, in a very clumsy way, to convert it in a bussiness opportunity. Tasteless, lacking of direction, almost delusional.

At least they could sunset the brand and let it live in the history. Users could have the chance to remember those glorious days in dignity.

You guys are just being retards. It's a brand name. There are Xbox t-shirts too and no one freaks out that it's not a box. Playstation is also on PC and it's not a station. But sure, keep the fake outrage going. Xbox app is on my phone right now. Playstation has an app on phone. Xbox already has log-ins to play on browser, or TVs or fire stick. This is how it's been since 2021.
Was that an Xbox with the auto-reply? It sounded like an Xbox.

You guys are still attached to the Box.

Unless Playstation royally fucks up anytime soon, Microsoft is never going to outsell Sony when it comes to console. Their options are to either sit on their hands and try to bang their heads against the same brick wall over and over again, or they could change the business. That's what they're doing. We'll see if they actually succeed here, but at least they're trying something.

Before anyone calls me an Xbox shill, I've owned an Xbox console once in my life. A 360 for 2 months before Gears 3 came out, and sold it right after I finished the game.

Honestly: this is ridiculous and embarrassing.

Since it's clear they want to kill the console business, it would be much better for them to abandon the Xbox brand (and create a new and more appropriate brand like "Microsoft Gaming").

You can log in on any of these devices and play your Xbox library or GP. It's a brand name for the ecosystem app. This is literally exactly what PS is going to be doing too so I hope everyone on here admits how much of a hypocrite they are when that happens. You guys are complaining about enhanced compatibility and smart delivery. It's awesome to be able to log in to any device and it automatically works and syncs up. The fact that it's not a box is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. I expected dumb on here but this truly exceeds my expectations.

They're happy to sell games on Switch and PS. But they're not "an Xbox" because they're talking about the ecosystem log-in.
Although I agree that xbox will be an app in the future and possibly the other companies, this is actually a bad thing since you dont own anything.
