I mean, based on what Vance recently said, “does the President REALLY need to be in any way restricted by the Supreme Court?”, you know, just casually suggesting removing the checks and balances that have defined our national government for CENTURIES, we may not even have a President by 2028 but just a full-on King, even if they still keep the name “President”.

Just saying, I wouldn’t be using Vance as a shining example of democracy when he’s saying sinister shit like that.

If DEI initiatives truly means placing untalented individuals in positions without merit, then Vance is a DEI hire.

Now this is bordering on ignoramus.

Dude came from nothing, literal Appalachia poor redneck, served his nation in war, took the opportunity and put himself through several colleges and excelled, became a millionaire business owner, ran and became a senator, now vice president.

That's the thesis of the 'bootstrapped' "American dream."

Often times emotions get in the way of logic and reason.

You know what? You're right. I was just being an asshole because I don't personally like the guy. Thought that was obvious.

I might as well, how long before Trump reclassifies Pluto as a planet. (You know since it's the one that was discovered by an American.)

The dude literally wrote "Hillbilly Elegy" and he was a darling of the liberal media until he changed his mind about Trump, much like Elon he started out an ally but is now declared an enemy after his "heel turn"

Research the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and what led to it.
And?? wtf does that have to with me saying " he will give it back to Mexico "? I don't get get it. Mexico had cali , the US got it ... I made a joke about giving it back. End of timeline.

Do you want me to dig a ditch around California and call it the rio grande? I will. It's about as wide as a ditch where you cross in McAllen anyway. 🤣

Mexico had California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. They lost a war and was paid for the territory. You never see idiots demanding those other states go back, just CA, because the La Raza crowd in SoCal eats paint chips.

The Mayans called it "Chactemal" which is a cooler name and thus win the race.

I'm sure the native Americans have had plenty of cool names for it too. Why go for the boring gulf of whatever

Hey man, I like to avoid much in the way of politics here, but I just want to give props to admitting your flaws in the exchange with DeepEnigma DeepEnigma .

It's hard for people to do today, for whatever reason, especially online. That was awesome. Kudos.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I can only be myself and speak for myself. The toughest part about discussing politics is how often it turns into a debate about entire groups, liberals, conservatives, Black people, Hispanics, whites, rather than just having a real conversation with the person in front of you. Most of the time it’s a whole lot of noise over nothing.

They literally have a page set up with massive amounts of transparency we haven't seen in any of our lifetimes. It's scary for a lot, surely.

It's a scary world when you can't demonize those you disagree with. It seems the options these days are 100% in line or GTFOH.

Thanks for the challenge. In today’s political climate, some people don’t engage with individuals, they engage with the groups they think those individuals represent. Say one thing that aligns with a certain group, and suddenly you’re held accountable for everything that group has ever said or done, nuance be damned.
Could not agree more, my man.

Can I see the receipts on the Space X contracts?
Yes, those are visible. Reuters even did a piece on it.

Yeah, and I bet Trumps finances are up there.
His personal business finances are irrelevant, but are under a microscope and have been for almost 10 years now. What rock have you been living under? He doesn't even collect a paycheck as president.

This is the retardation right about now from taxpayers literally being stolen from.

The important context for the misinformed.

SpaceX wins their government contracts because they offer the lowest price and execute. It’s not a bad thing to serve the U.S. government with great capability and products at a low price relative to the competition.
Tesla is the most American-made auto manufacturer in the U.S. Every Tesla sold in America is built in America. When you buy a Tesla, you are supporting American industry. Teslas have a lower cost of ownership compared to ICE cars. The government would likely save money buying armored Teslas instead of armored ICE cars, based on what we’ve seen with long local law enforcement trials.

They give you generalized dollars in billions... they offer nothing as far as what you actually get for those?
Per the RUETERS article:
"The total value of Musk's companies' contracts with the DoD is estimated to be in the billions of dollars, but the true figure cannot be determined since many of them are classified"

I don't understand does this mean that the contract doesn't exist? or that DOGE did not revise the list?

I am a fiscal conservative who is all for small government and eliminating waste myself, but you guys seem to put a lot of faith onto someone who became the richest man in the world off government contracts. Shouldn't large CPA firms who are held to higher standards and more internal controls be doing this kind of work?

Nobody else is going to do it. The very crooks (politicians and bureaucrats) in what is essentially a true form bureaucracy are not going to audit themselves. The majority made up from all walks of life and parties, especially libertarian, voted for Trump knowing Elon was going to be the one to do it. This isn't some "fringe" base.

To elaborate on the stupid Trump finances comment earlier as well. He was the only politician in modern history to actually lose money and capital as a politician/president while in and leaving office. Says a lot, really.

I'd rather not listen to the very corrupt legacy media that were funded by these crooks with our tax dollars and have everything to lose.

If Elon fucks up and turns heel, then he can get the axe with the rest of them.

Yet Blogojevich was pardoned.
He could have directed more money into the GAO, or is that corrupt too?

Edit: Properly funding the GAO or contracting Earnst and Young, doesn't create the social media attention like Musk does.
That is what we have become as a country.

It goes deeper than that "fall guy." Remember that.

And let's not bring pardons up as some sort of gotcha, especially the thousands and thousands prior to 1/20. It's "gotcha" retard talk.

lol resorting to calling people retards..
Good day sir
Well think about it. What does that "gotcha" serve in a clearly partisan leaning discussion? Other than to not look at the shit in one's own backyard? It's retarded when you strip things down lacking all nuance with surface level MSM rhetoric.

You explained yourself better earlier, so why resort to that level then? You're clearly not a retard.

Good day sir

Actually, if DeepEnigma DeepEnigma said that to me, my first thought would be, "I know this nigga didn’t just call me a retard." Then, I’d start my reply with something like:

"I’ll assume you’re calling the argument retarded and not me. But why would stating facts be considered retarded? Sure, you can argue there's bias in which pardons I choose to highlight, but surely some pardons are problematic."

Sometimes we have to set ourselves aside to move forward in a discussion rather than getting tied up in ourselves. It's much bigger than us. Anyway, we're probably all gonna get smoked if we keep bickering about politics so Imma sneak up ottta here before the owners wakes up.
