Whatever you say chief
"Sony had NOTHING to do with Demon's Souls!!" is the most delicious cope of all time. You can physically taste the seething tears coming from whoever makes that kind of comment.![]()
Sony admits "dropping the ball" with Demon's Souls
Sony has admitted it made a big mistake deciding not to publish cult RPG hit Demon's Souls in the US and Europe.www.eurogamer.net
When Japan Studio got to play the near final version, they didnt get it and said it was crap. Literally.
From got no help from Sony with anything, they did it all themselves.
Then that likely means you have a huge American sized penis. Good luck with that. What if...and I'm just spitballing here.
What if some people like the art direction in the remake more than the original?
I liked the art more than the original.

MF most people didn't even know this game existed and never played it. In a decade we'll be talking about Kings field insteadbest and most influential games of all time.
What?? Nobody said that before the remake… You can defend the remake without throwing shit to the original game… The technical aspect is another thing, but the artstyle was beloved by the fans.Another fromsoftware fanboy's drivel. Original is an ugly garbage artistic-wise there is nothing to butcher there
God I wish I could somehow legitimately play Kings Field on my PS5. I played that game before most people knew it even existed. I still stand by it being one of the scariest games I played.MF most people didn't even know this game existed and never played it. In a decade we'll be talking about Kings field instead
I was there in 2009. The “moody and atmospheric” was to trying to hide the usual awful job of “one generation behind and aficionado tier art” From is known for. They’ve been better in the art part lately but nothing to call home about. This ain't it. I like the more moody and atmospheric style of the original, but the remake is still beautiful.
BLASPHEMY!@#@#!!!!Is it that hard to be content with both?
The original Demon's Souls was my first FROM experience and made me fall in love with the game type.
The Bluepoint remastered was a fresh take on the original game, and, was a much appreciated bump up from what was possible in the PS3 gen.
Both games gave amazing artistic direction and an amazing OST, even though they are quite different.
Is it that hard to be content with both?
I don't play the games that way. Looks like a retarded sped way to play.

It detracted nothing for me in my experience while playing, personally. You'll see the Wanderer's face no matter how you play. Bluepoint Games has some of the best technical chops in the industry when it comes to porting but they've often missed the mark artistically and mechanically with their efforts. That doesn't make those efforts bad and often those ports are needed since those games are trapped on dead systems, but things can get lost in translation.
And it's telling everything you need to know about fromsoftware fans.but the artstyle was beloved by the fans.

While that is a silly face, can you imagine a new SoC game using the Horizon/Death Stranding engine?
Yes, we've had a hundred of these threads with the same people saying the same things over and over and over. That's fine, but it isn't hard to see why others might be bothered. This is especially true when they've worked on some of the most beloved games of all time so people are going to be hypercritical.
You dont want this one, just emulate the original.
The original looked like shit. The remake is amazing.
Thanks
Yes, we've had a hundred of these threads with the same people saying the same things over and over and over.
It's time to let it go, it won't change a thing other than mental health.
Because Fromsoftware fans we have Elden Rings today and the Demons Souls RemakeAnd it's telling everything you need to know about fromsoftware fans.
I'm sure that even the devs don't know what happened in these games, doubt that many of them watched vaati's fanficsActually, i just think most people have no idea what happened in these games, of course these details won't matter to them![]()
Was it so hard to keep the same mood and direction while making the visuals better?I will never understand these people. You think this looks better

than this:

You people hide behind terms like "Art Direction" and "Art Style" while completely ignoring how Demon Souls looked like a PS2 game when it came out literally a month after KZ2 and same year as uncharted 2. Literally incomplete assets and textures. One of the ugliest games i had the displeasure of playing.

found the consooooomer. Lives to consoooooom.Overly-attached fanboys are a disaster.
Nobody would. The remasters pushed the fog further and nobody complained.I bet people would hate a Turok remake if it removed the mood (fog)
lol, good point. Some things can't be recaptured.I bet people would hate a Turok remake if it removed the mood (fog)
Mostly referring to the ones who act like it's legitimately the best looking game on consoles. I don't see that at all, though I do think it looks good all the same. PS4 Elden Ring on PS5 looks better IMO and I wouldn't consider that the GOAT looking title currently available.I played it November of 2021 and was very impressed. Haven't replayed it though so I don't know.
The only time this is true is in classic RE. People who WANT to skip the door/stair/ladder animations...SHAME ON YOU.SMH you're missing the point of the artistic decision of having those load times. Therefore by playin it on an emulator you are ruining the original idea.
If you remove the context of the story and lore sure. It's fancier, more beautiful and detailed. As someone who has zero emotional connection to original, it's nigh and day difference how much better art style the remake has.
The fog in Silent Hill is not the same as the fog in Turok. Turok fog is just N64 fog.Nobody would. The remasters pushed the fog further and nobody complained.
But let me ask you this: Wouldn't you hate it if the Silent Hill remaster removed the fog?
I still felt the world was bleak, empty, and depressing with the remake. Even more so in regards to the details of the world. It felt more real and lived in.If you remove the context of the story and lore sure. It's fancier, more beautiful and detailed.
But games are also allowed to be bleak, empty and depressing.
