Personally, that's extremely boring to me and I would rather grind it out in PVP. I've gotten good loot consistently that way. Some people will do it regardless if it's fun or not, whatever it takes to get that loot.

Hm, maybe. But for instance, the Ghost grimoire card says I've found zero dead ghosts so far, which is absolutely wrong. So there are definitely some issues with the stat tracking.

Upgrade cryptarch by taking engrams to him again and again and again.

Those items upgrade rare+ weapons/armor so don't get rid of them.

Upgrade the Cryptarch by decrypting lots of Engrams, or purchasing Engrams from him.

Don't sell those, they're used for armor upgrades. Save them!

I've noticed the same results doing both. It's good for about 10 blue engrams an hour give or take and they all decoded to the same level stuff.

To differentiate it from the other faction equipment vendors. They all use the system of gaining points to build your reputation up to then buy their stuff.

I don't know how some of you have so much trouble in the Crucible. I seem to get a ton of kills or even finish first in my team and I'm not even trying. Sometimes I just finish first while doing complicated bounties (get 15 headshots with the Sniper rifle) or when spending the first half of the game thinking about something else or reading NeoGAF. I don't read strategy guides, I improvise all the time/don't plan anything and I even do moves that would be considered dangerous. Yet I still manage to kill a lot of people, do the objectives and finish first :/

Yeah, does start to get a bit tedious. I think about 30 minutes is the right amount of time before fatigue sets in.

I got 6 blue engrams, 3 of which are gauntlets, lol. I was really hoping for a chest, it's the only armor where I don't have any light.

Edit: All 3 gauntlets are worst and would de-level me to 20

As far as I know they never tell you but once I got good weapons and armor I noticed it requires the material to upgrade along with the other usual stuff.
