Stupid people acting like it's the same thing as with Helldivers II when it's totally different. Helldivers II was playable without an account, it was a few weeks after they made it mandatory. I'm not sure PS users would be okay with Forza launching without requiring a Microsoft account just to have it become mandatory a few weeks later for no reason.
This is why you never had people complaining about Ubi account on Steam for example (they complain about the additional launcher for sure, but not the need for an account). It's needed from the get go, you NEVER have access to the game without an account as opposed to HDII where you could play normally for weeks without one.

Not even in the same realm. One is a serious sim racer, the other is over the top fun arcade racer that still looks stunning with awesome OST. Most people would always go for arcade games versus sims. NFS Unbound is like 10 tiers below FH series in fun. FH is probably now one of the best things xbox has considering both HALO and GeOW are empty shels of what they once were. You are mixing up Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport.
As for on-topic, it takes 2 mins to make a MS account. Stop being crybabies over everything. At the end of the day its a MS game. You didnt really expect MS will just streamline it for PS.

Sony took some lumps for retroactively mandating PSN after launch, showing everyone that it clearly wasnāt required for crossplay. Aside that, Iāve never expressed any antipathy to cross platform accounts required for online/cross play

Yes and I said it was asnine not to do it because it was stated from release and that it was disabled due to the launch issue. I gave you an example of minecraft doing it completely retroactively (as in no initial requirement at time of purchase but adding a login requirement later without any shitstorm) and you went into definesive mode for minecraft instead while suggesting the shitstorm wasn't asnine for Helldivers (jumping to the defence of adam and manabyte). You obviously don't see the connection but at least try to keep up.

From all indications, Sea of thieves on PlayStation sold quite wellā¦even better than your beloved Stellar Blade.
Most estimates put it above 10 million unit sales on Steamā¦and it also requires an MS account too.
