Ehhhh they didn'tWhat fascinates me is how much time you spent convincing yourself that the damage has been done and the brand is over, while they actually doubled down on hardware.
Ehhhh they didn't![]()
Have you actually SEEN the same podcast as everyone else?
I don't think anyone here seriously expected this
Yes, but have you ?
That statement is open to a lot of speculation, which I already addressed in a previous reply. Which you said you didn't read because you're in complete denial.
I wonder if that's how you watched the video.
You probably heard "4 games" and "next generation road map" and everything flew by or went way over your head.

We're still mid-gen.
But a single set of financials doesn't tell the whole story. You'd have to take their initial Spider-man investment with all the other versions on console and PC and check back after 10years after Spider-man 3 releases on PC to see what the ROI was. The game's finances seem to follow the big film releases, where it is a long return on a solid investment so long as the quality is there and the IP/franchise does a lot of the heavy sales lifting too.I agree, because I like high-quality AAA games, but after seeing Sony's financial results showing how little profit is made on those big, expensive games, I kind of understand why they might want to chase that Roblox money.
Don't worry, I'm fully aware that it could mean a powerful console just as easily. So they say there's a roadmap for the next gen with the biggest leap yet. You've convinced yourself that it could mean a tablet and now you're telling others that thing flew by over their heads.
Go home grumpy cat.
Yes, but have you ?
Oh I don't know about the seriously part, but multiple posters were definitely hoping for it.
Askhow did all that stuff about going full third party and releasing everything on PS/Nintendo consoles or no more day one gamepass get so much traction... was it from someone usually reliable?
cause what a fail, wasnt even remotely close to truth
"Games over a year old"
From my understanding the technological leap might be related with Generative AI (MS is currently working on their own AI chips), rather than streaming from the cloud"Technological Leap" probably means more games running from the cloud instead of on updated hardware
The fact that they have not even mentioned a new console and are instead going for this "Technological leap" jargon should be throwing up red flags
Either way the wording coming from Microsoft right now is sounding suspiciously like the "Power of the cloud" nonsense they tried to fool the general public with during the xbox one revealFrom my understanding the technological leap might be related with Generative AI (MS is currently working on their own AI chips), rather than streaming from the cloud

Ultimately they cannot be the biggest third party publisher, if they don't release any third party games.Couldn't agree more. The trust is totally gone for me, so whatever Phil & co says, just doesnt hold merit anymore for me. Phil was still busy spinning things yesterday. We know the whole testing the water spiel is spin to ease the change across. They're changing direction slowly but surely and trying to bring everyone along with them.
Unfortunately I've sold the Xbox as I no longer want to put more money into it. I dont think MS Gaming is suddenly disappearing or anything as dramatic as that. But where are we in a few years time? Big question mark. For me, I think its pretty much full third party publisher with a lot less focus on their own hardware. I might pick up another bit of their hardware further down the road, but tbh, I don't think there will be a need to.
We're gonna keep doing this song and dance all this year and next, aren't we ?![]()
The dream never dies
Also what is this in lots of threads about new Xbox hardware this year?
Give us an ARMxNvidia Xbox then, Sarah.
When this fails (because Sony isn't asleep at the wheel anymore, even with the GAAS push they secured and are still securing a lot of singleplayer games for the PS5 launch), they will decide that maybe a console with a red ring of death aesthetic will be the one. Also could put them in a situation akin to 360, wherein they get a head-start, except this time, I don't see Sony making the mistakes they did with the PS3 on the PS6 if it does come out later.
You guys are in copesville
They also mentioned consoles will be their flagship

That's what playing Diablo IV non-stop does to you.Off topic but Phil looks really unhealthy. He looks bloated AF, guy needs to get away from the CEO chair or sofa and get moving for the sake of his health.
WALK IT BACK
Give me Hall Effect sticks as well pleaseIf all their shooters have gyro control I'll buy yet another controller.
WALK IT BACK
Yet people are still listening to those insiders who are continuing to spew BS just for additional clicks because of confirmation bias.Yep it’s the usual suspects as always and the same “insiders” that were wrong and blew all of this out of the water.
Oh I don't know about the seriously part, but multiple posters were definitely hoping for it.
Maybe its the leaked refresh, but just happening later than originally planned or handheld....Thanks. I saw some people saying “ultra powerful hardware” but this seems like it could just be a redesign or something![]()
WALK IT BACK
You are overplaying that hand dude. Small uninformed minority of folks doesn't mean much so let's not inflate this into something more than that.
WALK IT BACK
Are you forgetting about how the entire front page of gaming for the last week was nothing but "MICROSOFT IS SEGA AND GOING THIRD PARTY! XBOX IS FINALLY DEAD! LETS PARTY!"
Are they not going third party then? Are you forgetting about how the entire front page of gaming for the last week was nothing but "MICROSOFT IS SEGA AND GOING THIRD PARTY! XBOX IS FINALLY DEAD! LETS PARTY!"
You missed a step- Insiders leak plans of xbox fp titles going to PS/Switch
- Xbox confirms plans are true
- "See! Insiders were just bullshitting after all"
- Xbox fanboys get banned on GAF
Can't make this shit up lmao

We both saw the amount of posters talking about it here, I'm not even referencing Twitter in general, I don't know why you're running defense for anyone.
There's posters on the last page who are refusing to acknowledge the hardware roadmap.
Basically.
Yes, but have you ?
