You're misreading the situation. There aren't any PS owners who are upset that MS games are coming to the platform. Not sure where you're getting that from.

There are a few guys who say "MS games suck, you can keep them," but the vast majority are pleased that MS-published games, including former exclusives, are coming to the PS5. Why wouldn't they be?

Like I said, most of these guys are pushing back against the idea that these are games MS are responsible for creating. A couple of those quotes are a little spicy, but that's par for the course in a videogame forum. It doesn't mean these guys are fuming at the keyboard. They're just calling out what they see as bull.

EXACTLY. It isn't Sony fans who should be upset by this news ...it's every Xbox owner who should! Like why the fuck did I spend $500 on a Series X for just for MS to eventually put everything on PS5?

This is the generation where because of Nice Guy Phil and MS putting this stuff in motion, consoles are starting a long slow death. All this multiplatform shit and subscriptions has weakened consoles importance and made PC the dominant platform. It will only get worse as time goes on and everything is released on everything.

All console gamers should be annoyed at how homogenized everything is becoming and by MS AND SONY focusing on multiplatform. It was 100% Microsoft pushing the industry in this direction. All the consolidation was started by MS too ...but Sony has followed suit. Of course people can't get past console wars instead of just sticking to the reality that even tho MS forced Sony's hand, Sony is heading in the same direction.

Partially true, but you give them little credit in terms of not meddling. They have bought a lot of companies over the years and actually largely left them alone with large budgets. For the most part, when MS aquires a company, they don't slash and burn, they run with the projects already in motion. The lemmings thing isn't true, just they have a lot of fans with low self esteem, they don't need to be paid.

I think everything depends on how much the PS walled garden holds it's consumer base in the next generation. Two possible paths.

- If Sony holds all their consumers and can keep all that 3rd party software money, they will keep the status quo and have lots of passive income to fund their expensive 1st party games.
- If consumers do migrate away from consoles over time, MS is positioned to be the dominant force in the industry as the largest publisher by far. Sony would have less passive income or incentive for 2nd party exclusives and would rely entirely on 1st party, which puts out mega sellers, but doesn't put out a ton of them. MS games don't do as well critically as Sony games, but the sheer amount of stuff they are going to be releasing across all studios over the next decade is crazy.

I agree, they just need to put all these games on GamePass and 200 million GamePass users is a sure thing!

Plus if you think about these games are really a Trojan Horse for Microsoft and PS5 is an Xbox.

The OP or title never even says 1st party (even though it is). The first sentence in the OP states MS has grown, meaning they're clearly talking about acquisitions. Nothing in the OP is claiming Phil Spencer crafted these. It's just pointing out a plainly obvious truth, but that's too much to handle I guess even when it's on the platform people on here prefer.
