Ori and the Blind Forest - March 11 (XB1/Steam; $19.99), new gameplay footage

They sold their IP rights to MS just to publish? That's a bummer.
Yeah. The deal did get them a ton of exposure through Microsoft though, and visibility is important in a market so crowded with indie titles. Unless the game ends up warranting a sequel, it sounds like an acceptable trade off

Don't have XBONE but would like to play this on PC. Will a Dell i5 4460 with 8GB Ram and a Zotac 750ti run this well? Thanks.

Where is my Xbox preload? Why is the game not even in the 'Coming Soon'-section?

Should be coming very, very soon :)

Should be possible :) Ori does use a lot of Fullscreen Effects to achieve its high contrast look, so if you have any issues, play it at a bit of a lower resolution. That said, I've been playing it on various notebook and the perf has been insanely optimized recently :)

Just a few more days! Really looking forward to finally play this one... the screenshots feature for the Xbox was released just in time for Ori!

Predicting many new Xbox backgrounds will come from this game.

Sorry if this has already been answered but is there an embargo for this game?

Will end up getting it regardless, but I'd love to read some reviews beforehand.

Ouch, that sucks for those guys.

I dont think they accepeted any agreement without thinking a lot more deeply about it then us here. So probably the offer will benefit them more then you may think.

And yeah, this game will do some GREAT wallpapers. Rayman Legends with its awesome art style is already doing it for me btw!

It got them a lot of visibility. The E3 trailer picqued my interest in the game and I'll be buying day one. Without the spot at the Microsoft E3 conference I'm 99% I would not have paid any attention to this game because it would have been lost among the tons of other games that come out week by week.

I think it's the morning of March 9th, 2 days before release, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks for all of your input! I'll be getting this day one,

Quick question: are the 10 hr estimates based on a normal pace play through, without hunting down all collectibles, etc, or a 100% playthrough? Big difference, obviously.

Thanks.

I was assuming I'd be fine with a GTX 460 at 1080p. Should I not be so optimistic?

It's the typical time it took our playtesters to complete the game, not even 100%ing everything. Some people spend 4-5 hours just in Act 1... Obviously, if you want to speedrun it, you can finish it much quicker.

Nah, we wouldn't have been able to make a game like Ori otherwise. I already have to tip my hat to Microsoft simply because it wasn't possible for most people (Including Koji Igarashi) to make a AAA Metroidvania... But Microsoft believed in our vision, funded Ori and did the distribution, so really, it was a really good deal fo rus and we're happy with our decision.

Microsoft has been putting a lot of weight behind Ori after E3 last year, so that's obviously a cool thing for us.

Also, I hope MS will end up doing more with the actual IP. I'd love to see Ori being adapted to film, comic books, etc. - I think the world we crafted has an enormous amount of potential and I hope they're making use of all the IPs they're grabbing ;) :D

Sucks for you guys though. Having to work with MS...

On a more serious note...

5 DAYS LEFT.

I would love to see a film or comic books. And that is just from only seeing the trailers and few gameplay segments you've shown off. I'm so impressed i want more!

I need it to be the 11th already. I can tell 100% pure love went into this game. The soundtrack sounds legend tier, it looks visually stunning and has renewed my interest in 2D games. Take my money Moon, you take every last penny. On a side note....can I preorder this already please, pretty please?
