Picture guy turned himself in.

I don't think he did it, personally.

I really wish I could be a fly on the wall of that interrogation room, though.

So did that weird information on CNN about hotel police shootings become false? Now it sounds like sniper fire was the cause of all the current number of wounded.

Four people dead. Seven more injured. And an innocent man is going to have to watch his back for the next few months because our media is shit.

This just keeps getting worse.

Hope the news plastering him all over for an extended period of time doesn't mess with his life for the coming months. That's got to cause a lot of unrest, even if he is safe now.

Hoping for the best.

Too late it's going to. You're going to have a lot of stupid people on the net posting his picture and identity for years saying he was one of them. I feel really sorry for the guy. Dallas PD and the news so jumped the gun with this shit.

No, it looks like he wasn't involved at all, but it was smart to turn himself in until this dies down. They can just examine his gun and see that it wasn't fired to confirm he didn't shoot anyone

Maybe. But I don't think that justifies a cop just shooting a "potential maybe suspect" instantly. Especially all the times where the victims were deemed innocent.

If you were telling violence against cops is a constant and cops are dying everywhere everyday from this, maybe (even then, no) but cops are not supposed to resort to violence immediately. That's the issue here.

I don't think it does either. Just trying to explain why most cops who blindly defend this stuff do it. My dad is guilty of this shit, he worked 20+ years in the shittier parts of NYC during the 80s and 90s, before it became "disneyland". I've heard plenty of stories but I can separate the acts of individuals from the entirety of a race. Sadly, most guys who have been on the job long enough and towed the company line can't anymore.

Should've recorded himself handing the gun over, but obviously in the heat of the moment that probably wasn't possible. I hope he got some sort of info about the officer he gave the gun to.

I'm pretty sure they already knew he wasn't involved, but because the picture went viral even before the press conference, it had to be addressed publicly so rampant speculation could be squashed.
