Star Wars Outlaws Main Character Already Hit With Criticism Due to Ubisoft Changing Actress Apperance

I think i had more hype for this game before the trailer. Sure they character model looks meh- another female superhero lead that can do it all. ok
Visually it looks ok. Overall it all looks "mid"

I'm baaaaaackkkkk

This is not a super important thing, but it is a bit of a head scratcher. The hair and the coloration of the hair goes poorly with the skin, it just looks all washed out, and the hair style just isn't working. I wonder what happened within the company, surely someone has pointed this out. If the game is good I'll play it but this just feels like an unnecessary, or easily avoidable negative talking point. Weird one.

These open world adventure Ubisoft games should just go create-a-character. Nobody gives a crap about these protagonists and their "personal stories." The whole draw of a game like this is the adventure and immersion in the Star Wars world. Being forced to play as this character is just distracting. We ALL know why they picked this person. They could feign ignorance in the past, but this recent trend of beating the character model with an ugly stick pretty much confirms it's all agenda driven.

I like her hair, gives me some 80s vibes.

The face is kinda fucked up, but as some has pointed out this seems more of a matter of lack of talent rather than the usual woke shit.

Well you ain't gonna get that either
Considering it's Ubisoft, I don't have high hopes, believe me. It's why I'm not preordering and I plan on playing via Ubisoft+ and then canceling when done.

That is, if it's even worth checking out.

Changing her race from a latina to a goblin, is so racist.
Holy shit this got me good, lol.

Yeah, and honestly that's how I felt about it as well. I know where people are coming from, but it's hard to not think it may just have something to do with talent. But who knows?

The dog at least is cute

Hey guys,

I have applied to Ubisoft for a job in character design and modeling. I submitted a sample of my work, along with my reference model.
What do you think?

You'd get rejected:
  • Too femenine body shape (noticiable boobs, waist smaller than hips and breast), not trans friendly and some cis straight male could remotely be attracted by these boobs
  • Too femenine haircut, not androginous/manly enough. Not enough trans friendly
  • Too revealing costume. Not religion integrist friendly

It's obvious that this is American developers agenda nowadays, Polish dev like CD Projekt still have beautiful women in their games.

It's going to be another ubishit open world game (now more planets... yawn). Wonder how many towers we will have to climb in this shit fest?

We're all idiot sandwiches. I do prefer Penn Station to Jimmy John's.

It's hard to find a good grinder too. I miss those. They made them in a place in Michigan when I lived there. It's like some kind of chiabatta bread or something. Melted cheese and jalapenos with some chicken. Miss that place.

No towers in this one, but you probably find some sci-fi piece of equipment that you can power up and it barfs the icons on your map.

So yea, the AAA open world template will definitely be used here.

I also spotted some mediocre stealth mechanics. Looking forward to throwing an object to distract a guard and then crouch walking behind them and press a button to start the kill/subdue animation.

We regret to inform you that after careful consideration, we are unable to approve your application for the following reason(s):

1. Tits still too big
I know.
I tried to give her a tiny uniboob, but BING Image Creator kept fighting against me. It seems even AI refuses to produce a level of ugly beyond a certain point.

If they are using it as a starting point, they does not have to look like the actor at the end.
If they want 1:1 representation as in Death Stranding, then yeah, everyone should be outraged.

I think here is the usual case of faux outrage for clicks and engagement on social media.
The issue isn't even that the character doesn't look like their model. Problem is that they uglified the shit out of the character, made her a lot more masculine especially with that horrible jawline for no good reason.

Why can't we have aesthetically pleasing female characters in games anymore?

All the male characters get usually buffed and are built like they spent last 20 years in the gym, which is great, mind you. Why can't we have female characters also look great?

Wonder how the actress feels about the cleft chin, they went full on with it. The actual video isn't as bad but the stills are accurate and hilarious.

It's not a lack of talent. It's on purpose. This is from the same developer just released 4 months ago(Avatar) using the same game engine:

They had no problem whatsoever matching her face 1:1, and this is a side character.

Are we going to start having tv shows where actors have to wear prosthetics so they are politically correct?

Why do you think Ubisoft would hire you based on your talents? They hire based on identity and diversity.

If you look like this, Ubisoft would absolutely invite you for a talk about your future at their company. You'd fit right in.

I mean, I get it in Fable. The character is supposed to be that way.

This one, however, they intentionally "manned up" the character.

oh, so they are just a bunch of hacks then.

All these games want to appeal to a narrow demographic. It is really annoying.

Hogwarts Legacy proved that they can't stop a game from selling.

Character model looks a Dark Chrystal gelfling.

Obviously the models the devs hire for this work do not get any kind of final say over what the character model ends up looking like.

It is just blatanley obvious that they are trying to cater to trans people because they throw the biggest fits online.

It gets silly.

Looks like a Unicorn threw up over her/it. (And rightfully so)

Shame. Kassandra was hot af, beat the crap outta Eve I have to say.

Her body and animations are anything but feminine. Same goes for fem Aivor in Valhalla. It's not enough to just create beutiful face, everything else must be true to gender as well. But they're too fuckin' lazy to do that.

Aya was the last great female character in all aspects, I loved every second while played as her and she's the best part of AC Origins.
5OTEdSi.png

But they've forced boring af and uninteresting Bayek as main lead of AC Origins while Aya is WAY BETTER, should've been in his place all along and she was at first. I mean, Remedy also made some.... decisions for Control, but Ubisoft is by far way worse.

Fan fact, when I had Twitter account (back when it was Twitter), I used to argue with the AC Valhalla character lead while they were promoting the game and said to him that Eloy has way more feminine features, animations and stuff than fem Aivor does, cuz she's basically indistinguishable from male Aivor in everything but face and voice (which is a fact) and he was like - nah, you're wrong, fem Aivor is better....
