i wouldn't say generic, it just doesn't seem to be doing anything new to warrant it's existence.

it's why I'm hoping they hiding something really cool, because both showings have been short and uninteresting

Not sure what they need to do new really. MP is one of the greatest games of all time and it's hardly an oversaturated genre.

I just want more Metroid. Hopefully it has all the same good stuff. Gravity boots, different canons to unlock different doors, tons of nooks and crannies and power upgrades, etc. As long as it has that, I'm in.

Ahhh I don't know metroid isnt this guaranteed success Franchise like others. It has to look and perform well enough.

Who cares? I'll happily take more MP1. Oh no, it's similar to one of the best games ever.

What games do you even play by that criteria? There's like 4 games a year that do anything "new", it's an iterative industry.
