I might pick up something else depending on how impressions go during the season, but that's about all I'm watching. Might see what the fuss is up with Girls und Panzer.

I really should watch a show or two this coming season if only to be part of an ongoing conversation about a show. I got into Shin Sekai Yori in Fall, but then other stuff took over my attention.

Nothing really sticks out to me though. I have trouble getting excited for shows or gauging their quality before I see them. That Titan show sounded kinda interesting I guess. And Date A Live or whatever it's called has such a ridiculous premise that I may have no choice but to watch it.

Yay, list time!

I intend to watch at least the first episode of:

RDG - because I like Noriko Ogiwara's writing
Majestic Prince - it might have some okay action. First, though, I have to stop confusing it with Marginal Prince...
Attack on Titan - the trailer is fantastic, and I'm hoping the hype from the manga is justified.
Valvrave - Kou Matsuo doing mecha is interesting... and the CG looks almost on a par with Macross Frontier, which is promising!
Gargantia - I'm getting all the wrong kinds of vibes from this show's promotional art and videos, although the premise sounds appealing there's just something about the art... but I'll give it a go anyway.
Arata: The Legend - this looks like LOL SATELIGHT, and I'm sure it's going to be crap, but I like to give Yuu Watase the benefit of the doubt...
Flowers of Evil - the story sounds ridiculous, but I'm intrigued to see how this rotoscoping pans out.

I inquired about buying that at a GameStop I was at yesterday, but they're (still, apparently) sold out. Nintendo fucked the duck on that one.

Praise for Frontier, actually. I know many disagree with me, but I think the CG in Frontier is genuinely very good - it's used sensibly and dynamically and the space battles are genuinely thrilling. It's not as good as the CG in Code Geass Akito, but then it's four years older than that.

For me, I only really dislike CG when it's poorly integrated. This is why the CG in From The New World, for instance, is so jarring, because it looks totally out of place - it's also why I don't like the CG in Vividred Operation this season, because from shot to shot the girls change from 2D to CG and it looks stupid and obvious. Valvrave's CG looks surprisingly well handled - the robot moves like a 2D robot but rendered in CG, rather than a super smooth CG model plonked in a limited framerate 2D world. It's just unfortunate that so many studios still don't understand how to do this right IMO :(

When people said Battle Tendency was crazy, I thought I understood after the first few eps. How mistaken I was. Ep was so damn good.
