I think that was the point. A seminal work of classical Western literature teaches us that falling in love with a parental figure is disastrous and against divine order; a seminal work of classical Eastern literature (arguably THE seminal work of Japanese literature) teaches us that falling in love with a parental figure can be romantic, but not as romantic as moulding a little girl into being your ideal love when she grows up.

I guess there is a possibility I developed glaucoma without realizing it, but I am not seeing the "remarkable" side of Psycho-Pass.

Seriously that bomb/ladder scene was ridiculous. Also the MC continues to baffle me. His actions are bound to bite him in the ass quite awesomely at the end of the show I'm sure. Though, the normal "run dude run Yuno will be the end of you before this is done" wouldn't be a good piece of advice here either given her diary so I have no idea what he CAN do.
The Japanese person I know thought the fan fiction ending was unfortunate and would have been better off not existing.

And that's the end of volume 6. I can't tell exactly how many chapters into volume 7 the next episode will go, but we definitely seem to be on pace to clear all 8 currently published novels by the time the season is over. Exciting!

This show has seriously been one of the best things to come out in a while. I don't think I can add much more about how poignant this particular episode was that hasn't already been said before, but to me it finally elevated this material from "great mindless fun" to "must watch".

Mahiro was unexpectedly reasonable, and because of that his reunion with Yoshino was... Quite anticlimatic. Looking forward to the DeLorean antics.

I don't think anybody was trying to piss you off. Nobody here is going to look down on you for looking forward to a Shinkai film. It's just natural that people will notice the prominence of feet in that trailer; there's certainly much worse things anime can focus on than that.
